I didn't like either of the last two calls that caused the canucks to lose. to me, those are regular season penalties, not 1-goal-game postseason penalties. put the whistles away and let them settle it on the ice.

While I agree with you in principle, by that point they knew what was/not being called and should have adjusted accordingly. That extra shove or whatever by Bieksa was definitely going to be a penalty based on what had gone on in previous games.

I'm hoping the LA Kings take a win over the Blues tonight to break their losing streak on the road. Blues were looking tired and beat up in the last period of Game 4 while the Kings were getting stronger.

I'd really like to see a Ducks and Kings matchup in the next round. Just so I can talk smack to my buddy who's a Ducks season ticket holder and always uses the "well, ducks won it first" excuse...

My wife is a ducks fan, I'm a kings fan. I like the ducks, I think they're a good team, but was a kings fan before the ducks were a misbegotten jizz stain in the back of michael eisner's eye.

A playoff series between the two would lead to a house divided. She'd probably become a USC fan just to spite me.

My youngest nephew is a Kings fan, and his older brother likes the Ducks. Guess who gets the nicer presents on birthdays and Christmas? hehehe

The one on Sedin that basically ended the game was completely the right call. Back-checking a guy stooped over near but away from the boards is dangerous. He knew that guy was going head first into the boards but he crashed in anyway. Despite this being a violent game, there is no room for plays with good potential for serious head and neck injuries. I thought Vancouver was lucky they didn't toss him.

I mean, if we're really concerned about the athletes. My honest opinion is, for whatever million a year they make, give 'em swords.

To me it looks like the SJ player didn't try embrace for impact. Usually in plays like that both players are ready to put their shoulder into the opposing player.

Crosby is starting to grow up. The past few interviews he is saying the right things while on the podium, I'm kind of impressed by it.

I am cheering for the Habs and the Sharks. I will cheer for the Habs regardless of their chances. I lived in the San Jose area for quite a while and have gone to a bunch of games at the Shark Tank and I like the fan base there.

As I mentioned, I want to see a game this Sunday in NYC (leaving from Shanghai to EWR later today), so I want the Rangers to win at least one more game.

I will be in SF next weekend, maybe I can see a Sharks game as well ...

Michael

Rangers win and I buy my ticket for Sunday's game instantly.

Section 115 upper area. $450 plus fees, not too bad.

Michael

ps - since I bought my ticket, prices in the lower levels continue to rise. Plenty of upper area tickets available for around $200. I wanted to get a seat more near the blue line, but nothing available for less than $900 when I looked for a single ticket.

Ducks should scare you the most. Hawks are 0-3 this season.

You're right, that should be the case. But it's not right now.

I think the hawks would fare fine in a series against the Ducks, but the Blues would beat the living crap out of them. Oh well - I hope Detroit wins for good measure.

Is it wrong of me to fantasize about Bertuzzi caving in Corey Perry's skull and then being ejected from the league and locked up for the rest of his life?

Fair point, Blues are a bruising team that's given the kings a hard time. I'm stoked the kings pulled out the W tonight.
