Wish I had picked up Frozen Synapse yesterday. Didn't know anything about it. I guess I'll wait until Christmas.

Don't forget that Steam sales almost always have recap days. As to what will be offered again, that's not known, but you may be in luck! :) I'm hoping Borderlands goes on sale again so my friend can pick it up. I bought him Torchlight and Trine, both games definitely worth a $2 price tag! (I'm such a big spender :D)

EDIT:

I've never actually been gifted something over Steam. So I'm wondering.. can you regift? I sent my brother Borderlands GOTY awhile back, and he seems to have no interest in actually playing it. Is it possible for him to send it to my friend?

Does any of that Civ 5 DLC enhance the main campaign or is it all scenario campaigns?

I went ahead and bought the rest of the civilizations and skipped the map packs. The DLC civs do add some new scenarios but that pretty much it aside from having new leaders/benefits of course.

Steam still got $11 from me today. :|

If he hasn't USED the key at all (ie: Added it to HIS steam account), then yes.

Guild Wars trilogy...that is a preposterous amount of content for $15.

Odd that EoTN isn't more like $5. It's the only real expansion in the set, and is much less than half the content of any of the others--though it's really good.

Beat Hazard is pretty fun. My only complaint is that the game is such a visual clustercuss, and there are so many bright and colorful things exploding and moving around on-screen at once, it's very easy to lose track of your little ship. :) I hope I'm not the only one who has this problem.
I was thinking of buying this game, then I realized I already own it.

I'm a sick man :(

is the King Arthur game any good? looks like a cross between the Total War games and HM&M.

but is it actually fun? at 4;50...probably doesn't matter. :\ god damn it, fuck you, steam!

that being said, I finally got around to playing the Shogun 2 demo--that game is effing amazing. I might just have to buy it on the last day even if it doesn't go lower than the current $33. Though I feel that getting command of all of those ridiculous names will be a chore--and I wonder if I would ever finish the campaign? I sitll haven't finished my Rome: TW campaign, as good as it is. I also have the Alexander expansion, never played.

....sigh.

I'd like to know 2 things.

What is the smallest demo I can download for the prize ticket today
, in other-words does anyone know a really small demo on steam?

Also which of the civ 5 Dlc
add more achievements? Im
most interested in those.

Much appreciated.

I bought the King Arthur game a while back. I haven't played it much but for the $3 I paid for it seemed good. I didn't like the actual battle combat much so I autoresolve, of course, I usually do that in Total War games too even if I like the combat.

I was also motivated to autoresolve by some crashing bugs when going to the combat window. That might have been unique to me, I do not know.

It may be possible if he never claimed it. There's a menu in steam that allows you to manage gifts you've sent to other people that haven't been registered yet. In that menu you can resend them...maybe you can have them sent to a different email address. If he's already registered the game in his steam account theres probably nothing that can be done.

it's still on sale, only like $16 and change...it wasn't a huge sale when it was a daily deal anyway, only like $3 or $4

Yeah that demo is freaking awesome. I was waiting to see if would go lower, but like you I may just pounce on it at this level if does not drop further.

Anyone have any thoughts on AI War? Looks interesting.

Is it particularly difficult, IE learning curve? Or is it your standard RTS Space Sim?

AI War is a lot of fun, even more so in co op. It isn't s standard RTS game at all. You can just slowly take over everything to win. The more areas you take over, the more power the AI becomes, so it forces you to use tactics to win instead of taking over regions and just getting bigger.

There is a demo on Steam, I suggest trying it out, the game is really good.

I've seen some ridiculously small game downloads... let me see if any of them have demos....

Quantz is 77mb (full game) and has a demo. It's also on sale for $2.50 and it's a decent game.

have you played Rome? it is absolutely epic. but the mechanics and overall polish in Shogun are far superior. I do prefer the Roman time period though, and names that actually mean something to me.

I think I got burned out from the battles, as great as the system is, so I think I'll take the advice from the poster above and just autoresolve more often.

yeah, a lot of those indy games have tiny demos. I image the vvvvvvvvv demo would be quite small.

...I still have one summer sale ticket to my account. I can't be bothered to do any of these achievements. the last thing I need is 10 more games in my account that I will never play--free or not. :D

Adding more to the pile of games I can't get to as it is. Bought Borderlands GOTY even though I already had the original + a bit of DLC on the 360 with 1 very developed character. Bought both NV DLC packs yesterday and I've barely started the vanilla game. Just bought Beat Hazard pack. Got Alien Swarm 2 with my tickets.

And the worst part is I'm sure I'm not done.
