Bought HOARD a couple of days ago for 4 dollars and so far I think it's wasted money. It's just too limited in what you can do and you get bored after 20 minutes.

In for Singularity.

I'm 25 hours into FO:NV and I'm getting really temped to stop and play something else. I was playing ME2 and stopped that to play NV:\

I only played about an hour of hoard to get the ticket, but thought it was decent enough to go back and do whatever it has for the single player campaign (assuming it has one)

Well, it's happened. I managed to use over 30Gb on the weekend. Thanks Just Case 2, CoD 2, Arma II DLCs... Got 7 Gb left on internet cap, sigh, and it'll have to last 17 more days.

There's still more days left on the sale!

Purchases for me so far:
Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money
Fallout New Vegas Honest Hearts DLC
Tropico 3 Gold
Dragon Age Pack
Darksiders
Total War: Shogun 2
Back to the Future: The Game

Even though I could potentially spend way too much money, the timing of this sale couldn't be any better (or worse). I'm deploying in a month so I'll have ton of games to catch up on before the onslaught of new games coming this Fall.

That's S-M-R-T. I just assumed I would be too busy to play games. Ended up ordering an Asus gaming laptop the first week I was there. Quickly learned that beloved patriot games are usually non-functioning or virus filled, and ordered a bunch of boxed copies of games from Amazon. And I really hate non-digital media. AND I only ended up playing through a few of them. Some came back still in the plastic, like Just Cause 2, Fallout 3, Dawn of War II.... And I inevitably purchased them all on Steam when they were on sale. :D

Dammit, it really sucks that I can't buy Total War games. I really want to try them out. :(

I think I'll grab the Serious Sam pack but I will wait until the GOY version for Fallout New Vegas. I just can't bring myself to buy all 5 of the DLC for FO3 so I will wait to get them all with the final package for the New Vegas game.

I bought Killing Floor and it came with 2 guest passes. I am giving one to my brother, PM me with your steam name if you want a killing floor trial. Only ONE to give out.

why didn't you wait for it to go on as a daily deal? It's definitely worth whatever you paid for it though. Love Killing Floor. If you get 10/13 of the summer achievements for the game you can unlock a special skin. Also, the zombie skins that are active in game now are a lot different than what the regular game looks like. I bought KF during the last winter sale and I had to relearn all the monster skins when it went from the Xmas skins to the regular lol.

Looking at the games there's not really anything else I want from their catalog. I'll probably get the Civ 5 dlcs when they go on sale for I presume -50%.

Question on the 10 wish-list game contest: Do they have to be RELEASED games, or can you win preorders for stuff that's not out yet but have a steam page?

Bioshock2 is so bugged. I can't run it. I can't validate it on GFWL, and when i finally skipped that bullshit the game crashed...

Seriously.

Man, looking again at teh FO:NV deal I'm really tempted.

But I still have FO: GotY installed and I've barely touched it. I need to play that game extensively first.

By the time you finish FO3, there will prob be a version of FO:NV w/ all the DLC (I've read there are supposed to be 2 more coming?) for a cheaper price. Might as well wait, imo.

That's what I'm doing, but YMMV. I have such a backlog of games....:sigh: lol

Looking at the games there's not really anything else I want from their catalog.

This is the same issue that I am running into. The majority of the games that I want, I already bought during other sales.

Serious Sam is on sale, but I bought it a couple of months ago during another sale.

Fallout new vegas, I bought it from direct2drive a month ago for around $12.

The one package I thought about getting was the complete Valve pack for my daughter, she does not have portal 2, and couple of the other games. But she already has 1/2 the games in the Valve pack.

All through the year I keep an eye on Steam for sales, so when the summer and christmas sale come along, I already bought the games over the course of the year. I guess the summer sale is good for people who do not visit the steam store on a regular basis, or miss the sales during the year.

I downloaded the free demo the day was on sale, and came to this exact same conclusion. put my $4 into Fallout DLC.
