anyone play that zombie driver one, looks sadistically interesting.

I picked it up for $5 quite a while ago. I played it for a little bit but lost interest shortly thereafter. If you've got nothing to play ATM it's probably worth picking up, but otherwise there are better things around.

Any problems with Fallout:NV on win7? I could never get the original to run after I installed win7.

no problems for me 40 hours in, but it seems that these Bethesda games are very flaky and unpredictable from system to system. A few random stuck-button bugs (character will keep running and all the other buttons lock out) but no crashes for me.

It seems that Bethesda games are a grab bag of hilarious or game breaking bugs that simply may or may not ruin the game for you.

for me: Phenom II, on-board audio (G-Byte UD4P something something), 5850 and 4Gbyte OCZ Black edition for AMD and no game-breaking issues.

Win7 pro 64bit

it's fun, but very repetitive. short campaign, I think I got all the way to the very last mission and never completed it (simple race to the other side of the map and beat a timer).

aside from the various factions and such, it is very similar to the original GTA games, but more fun, if you ask me. :\

not worth more than $5 for amount of play time.

I think Obsidian are releasing another patch here in a few weeks too, right before the next DLC drops.

the release notes for the DLC include a lot of patching issues, so I think it's part of the DLC?

of course, I guess it will be a free auto-update regardless of the DLC.

Zombie driver is a lot of fun. Best played with an xbox 360 controller though. Survival mode is a lot of fun.

Wait, when did the Steam sale start? 😀

This pretty much sold me on the game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jJrUY27O0Y

Keep in mind you're buying 2 copies of the game. I gifted the other to a friend and he doesn't really like it so YMMV. I paid full price and I don't regret it one bit.

That's some impressive turn-based tactical combat.

I'd love to see these mechanics used for a new X-Com game, with the classic alien designs, story, base building and research.

I think for $5 I can finally try Alpha Protocol.

Singularity is great fun, but stay away from that Bully game. It's a horrible port (if it runs for you like it did for me).

Just stopped by bestbuy on the way to dinner and grabbed a f3nv disic for 10. When I get home, toss my cdkey in and grab the dlc for a total buy about the same as steams sell just for the main game.

Alpha Protocol pisses me off. I regret paying the $5 for it the last time it was on sale. It would be much better if we could remove all those stupid mini games from it. Like hacking.

I'm afraid I might not like it, but minigames alone don't bother me.

I don't mind those constant minigames in ME2; I actually feel like my brain is doing something at least.

Nevermind, it finally showed up.

How do you get the ticket for uploading a screenshot? I uploaded one to the public section, but it hasn't given me the ticket yet.

Hmm that Frozen Synapse game looks interesting. I'm surprised they haven't tried to make it for tablets too... it seems like it'd be a great game on those as well.

After watching the video on it, the one thing I'd complain about is the fact that you can get multiplayer invites while you're in the campaign, or is it possible to disable invites while in the campaign?

I just finished updating my home network to 1giga all around. updating the steam folder on my 2 comps is sooooooooo much faster now.

I'd feel a bit naked without my gigabit setup! Definitely nice if you want to do things like stream hi-def video... especially if you get them on one machine that isn't the one that is networked.

i just did it with kb/mouse. other than screweing up many a double jump, was relatively easy.

Hmm, it might have been easier if I skipped using the controller then. It's always a bit of a pain if the controller is already sync'd to a 360, because you have to turn the controller on (to sync to the wireless adapter), which turns the 360 on. 😛

You can turn switch multiplayer off and on at will.
