Alpha Protocol looks interesting, but I have so many other games in my queue I know it will land at the bottom of the pile anyway. New Vegas is really tempting, but I will wait for the version with all the DLC's included. I believe there are still 2 more DLC's yet to be released.

Alpha Protocol seems to have very mixed reviews around here.

I usually do wait for DLC and with Bethesda--bug fixes, but I jumped on the New Vegas for $10.73 deal 2 weeks ago. and, I went ahead and DL Dead Money for $10 the other day.

It is a fantastic game, despite the relatively minor issues that I have encountered and well worth the cost. ...though I feel that I am hitting the same type of wall that I always hit in these Bethesda games nowadays--too much to do, too many quests, too many options, collapsing under the weight of being something of a completionist (though I know these games completely prevent that)

Almost 40 hours in, and I have no idea if I'll be able to finish. 😀 Just getting to New Vegas, it seems like the game doubles in size.

I like it, but I already have the game...I should have specified, shitty deals for me because I already own the games I find interesting in today's sale.

yeah, agreed. I have it too, and haven't played it in some time. It's a fun game, but worth no more than $5 if you ask me.

I think if I pick up something else on this sale, it would be for a possibly cheaper Shogun 2 before the end of the sale.

I'm certainly tempted at $33, but It's been around for cheaper in the last week or so, and I can hold off a few more months as it is.

So far:
Tropico Gold $5
Assassin's Creed II SE : $6.75

I couldn't hold out for much cheaper PS3 on Assassin's Creed, plus this has the map packs which adds some of my favorite places in RL Florence (I assume Santa Maria di Firari is a horrible misspelling of Santa Maria del Fiori? --which is Florence's duomo)

anyhoo, anyone with KB&M experience with the assassin's creed games? I assume it's manageable, kinda like Batman AA? the combat in the first one was so simple that I figured it wouldn't be an issue, just the rooftop jumping might have issues.

Oh, FML. I just spent $10 on Dead Money, not 2 days ago. 😀

maybe I'll pick up the other one now. ....might as well.

Newer one is better, but they could have put in more enemies. I really miss roaming bandits in Fallout Vegas. You can clear out an entire section of desert and not have any respawns to deal with for days.

What's the Monday deal? Spent $30 so far and haven't played anything.

a few posts up, #392. not much of anything (because it sounds like you already have New Vegas)...

I assume that Fallout New Vegas has simply reached the age at which it can be sold at that price and that it's still a great game...right? I have nearly totally exhausted my funding and getting F:NV would be the end for a while...whereas I could snag 5 more 80% offs that make them $2.50 before the end of the sale.

In for Alpha Protocol and Fall Out New Vegas + the DLCs for today. Until someone can tell me about Bionic Commando. There doesn't even seem to be much discussion of it in the Steam forum...

I'm just building on an already 100+ game backlog at this point. I still haven't played any of the fallout games. I just finished Bioshock 1 & 2 and started GTA 4, which after 16 hours tells me I'm 37% through. Haha.

Commenting on the games that I've finished:

Trine - definitely worth the $2.00 - fun side scroller game
Alpha Protocol - another game worthy of $5.00. Sure, there are a few bugs - but it does have a good story.
Singularity - another that's easily worth $7.49 asking price.
Bully - $3.74 - yeah, I'd say that's about the right price.

I would say so, yes.

fwiw, someone posted a few posts up that it is $10 at Best Buy. maybe they have download options? no idea. but it is a steamworks game, so regardless of where you but it, it will always be in your steam account.

I paid $10.73 for the vanilla game at D2D 2 weeks ago.

This is easily a $30+ type of game.

Anyone have input on either of the Bionic Commando games?

I played the demo of the remade original on PS3 way back when that was released. I absolutely loved the original on NES, but the utter difficulty (god bless those old NES games 😀) put me off rather quickly.

I think you need a gamepad. well, would probably suck with KB&M

frozen synapse and ruse look like my buys today, will have to check if homefront any good also but it's still a tad expensive.

Homefront is only worthwhile if you're really into multiplayer. The campaign is < 4 hours long (no I'm not exaggerating). I liked the campaign mind you, but for a game that short I wouldn't want to pay more than $10.

Hm, trying out ARES for the achievement, and my only complaint is that up on the left stick (using a 360 controller) doesn't jump. There are times when it's easier to use the right stick to fire, so switching from that to the buttons just becomes a pain 😛.

I think I'm going to have to buy a wired controller for this... not sure having a wireless one provides any benefit. Amazon has 'em for $30 in sexy black!

i just did it with kb/mouse. other than screweing up many a double jump, was relatively easy.

that's kinda what I thought, but after watching a bit of falling sky I'm in the mood for a good insurrection title.

Any problems with Fallout:NV on win7? I could never get the original to run after I installed win7.

Random crashes every now and then, but just CTD, no need for a hard reboot.

It actually crashes during the start-up menu while I'm still on the desktop than anything else. Think it's a sound issue because the sound never plays, and I use an X-fi Xtrememusic from WAY back when. Still running strong... kinda. Kicking myself for missing a sale on the X-fi HD USB external sound box yesterday.

In 20 hours of play, I've had one crash and one time the mouse didn't show up at the start screen. That's it.
