I meant...now. /full disclosure: I watched this figure skating thingy two weeks ago 😳 (appeasing the GF), and I was suprised by her new look--i mean, she looks to have lost some 30 pounds from that pic. no legs, whatsoever. and she now has short hair.

I think only the top 2 US skaters qualified in those championships, and she wasn't in that group. She kinda sucked on what was a "comeback" attempt, or so the commentators said.

I honestly don't know who Terry Fox is; as other mentioned, few outside of CA probably would. will check it out now.
 
Ski jumping is done, wasn't terribly exciting, but it was just qualifiers. I miss CBC coverage, hopefully CTV et al can do as well.

Getting drunk on beer is expensive. At least for me it would be with my tolerance. Perhaps that will change as I lose weight.:hmm:

Well, it was an option, but I heard a few complaints about being downtown during the Olympic madness.

Maybe we can all hit up Irish House near Doolin's at some point.

A few of my friends went to Irish House 2 nights ago. It was free that night, but apparently it'll be $20 cover from now on. Although I also heard rumours that's going to be the standard fare all over town 🙁

God, what a joke. I can get into trend-whore Gastown nightclubs for less cover than that.

I was under the impression that there would be no cover, but that drink prices would be a bit inflated. I'll still go by to check it out, but if that's the charge, then they're not getting my money.
