Don't get me wrong, I think pro drivers in each car, with times averaged, and traction control off, the CTS-V should still come out on top, but ye gads that was painful to watch.
I also believe that the M5 Auto should actually come out a little faster than the 6MT model, as the shifting from SMG-III is far too quick for even an expert racer to match. And with the shlub they had driving those two cars, I think if he had been given an SMG-equipped M5, he might have even beaten the time of the 6MT CTS-V.
I agree, he was scrubbing like crazy in the M5 and sliding around in the CTS-V. Watching him slide a bit too much and then try and correct it in the Caddy was pretty noticeable. I doubt I could do any better (or even come close
