Is this a refresh or a complete redesign as it looks just like the previous model.
Still don't understand people who pay $45K for this tall Camry wagon.

So is Highlander and tonnes of other cars.

Maybe it's roomy, comfortable and reliable?

We get the RX350 as a loaner sometimes when we take my wife's car in for service. It's actually a very nice ride. Very comfortable, plenty of power, smooth & quiet ride and it is confidence inspiring. We had her car in recently and I had the opportunity to drive the RX out to Palm Springs for Thanksgiving and really enjoyed it.
Mileage is poor but other than that it's a nice vehicle...despite the fact that it's an SUV. 😉

So why would people buy the acura TL when you can have a loaded accord for less?
Why would people buy a Porsche 911 GT3 when they can just buy a Nissan GTR?

It does nothing great - its an appliance with no cache or pedigree.
At $45K for a FWD based unibody SUV I'm thinking of so many other models that are leaps better than the RX.
MDX
Touraeg
Lincoln MKX
Murano
Highlander
Mazda CX9
Buick Enclave
Car & Driver answered my question - The RX is all new with an increased wheelbase.......

Outside of the MDX, I wouldn't be interested in any of those.
The Touraeg, CX9 and Enclave fail in reliability.
The Murano, Highlander and MKX don't offer as comfortable and quiet of a ride.

The Controller at my company has an MDX and she likes it but she doesn't like Acura's service. They do not give out free loaner cars despite telling her that they did when she bought the car (she had a Lexus prior to this). We get a free loaner for a service as simple as an oil change.
