I disagree. Sometimes a network will take it's time to kill off a show moving it into different time slots everyweek just to toy with the fans.

Comparing NBC in 2000 to NBC in 2010 is a sad sad contrast 🙁

Agreed. And it will only get worse when Comcast buys NBC. Less quality ota shows means more need for cable tv.

I'll be really upset if they cancel friday night lights.

I LOVE that show.
I think it was renewed for like 2 more seasons?

the new season is actually airing now, but there's a whole weird thing with it where it airs on some cable channel first and then NBC a few months later.

Pushing Daisies was a show I was stunned made it to a regular networks programming. Every so often a network will surprise you.
Years ago, Kung Fu, was also a show that no one thought would ever make it on a regular networks schedule.

PD was actually pretty good though.

I coulda sworn I posted in here earlier this year expressing my love for Tina Fey, but I guess I didnt.

Anyway, I just got done watching The Late Shift from Netflix and it amazes me how much of the Leno/Letterman story they didnt tell. But in the end it didnt matter too much. Still a good flick though.

As far as NBC goes, it wasnt just Leno making them rich, they had a buttload of stuff like Cheers (which transformed into Frasier), Night Court, Wings and Seinfeld. It wasnt just Leno doing it by himself, thats for sure.

yea lenos become cheap and second rate, every time i turn him on its just horrible. its got the stench of death on it bad, its like a show thats jumped the shark.

in an interview i was listening to, they said that even if lenos rating dropped to practically 0 nbc would do nothing about the situation (i.e. move him back to 11:30 and find something new for conan) cause they don't want to admit any mistakes/ruffle feathers and they know it's only a matter of time till the new bosses take over and it will be their problem to fix.

more like move him to fallons time slot. his show is second rate that way. course against fallon anyone looks good.
