2009 TV Death Watch

the blood is starting to hit the floor and Jay Leno's 10pm show is pretty much ruining any good shows that were on NBC... figured I'd make a thread to track them.

RIP Reaper, officially canceled as of today

No mention of Prison Break being over? Or is that because it's just a series finale rather than a cancellation?

was PB canceled? I don't really follow it, I thought they just decided to end it (see also: ER)

I've heard nothing but good things about Life and have been meaning to check it out. Looks like I missed out. 🙁

I'm really not surprised that Reaper got canceled. While I do watch it, I will also admit that it's really not as good as it probably could be. Sam just needs to smack that Andi so she stops going all emo and breaking up with him every damn other episode.

Really? Chuck is on the fence? It's still fresh, I don't get how it could be cancelled so soon.

It's not a reality TV show 😛.

PB is airing it's last episodes on Fridays instead of it's old Monday timeslot. (Compared to House & 24, PB prob had sh!t for ratings)

there's a campaign out there to save chuck by buying footlongs at subway the night of the season finale. thought it was interesting... but the Jay Leno show means NBC gets to/has to cancel 5 hours worth of programing.

They better not cancel The Unit.... its like the only thing I watch anymore on TV

Its a great show but it does not have that much exposure especially being on Sunday night. Also the fact that its not on each week is horrible.

I really like(d) Reaper. FFS... It was a fairly original idea, with a decent cast. I still resent Fox for cancelling Greg the Bunny. THAT PISSED ME OFF!

noo i liked reaper.

knight rider was still on? man that show sucked.

Knight Rider was an insult to TV. Written and Directed by mouthbreathers.

It's a shame Reaper can't go on. Man.....every year they cancel the shows I watch.

It's like there's no point in watching anything until Season 3 when a show is entrenched.

Yep. I'm enjoying this even more now that they've stopped showing the ladies all the time...who gives a crap about the family life? Although that begs the question, why is Grey's character not getting any attention? The whole wedding angle keeps going in and out of the picture, and he's not even a part of any missions anymore.

I didn't see anything on the front page about life being canned. (Which must be the reason nbs has run 3 hours of l&o repeats since the life finale.

It also said kings did bad in ratings last weekend, I didn't realize it was on. When I went to set the dvr the guide said they were doing a miss america thing followed by the apprentice.

Kings was moved to Saturday nights... except NBC didn't promote or advertise the change at all.

As for the other shows listed; FNL was not really on the fence, as long as directtv is willing to pony up and subsidize for a half season program that could continue for some time.

Kath and kim; not sure how they managed to even play all the episodes paid for in the initial order.

Better off Ted; see above.

Reaper; haven't watched anything on the "indie" networks since Enterprise and probably won't again.

Knight Rider; was getting decent when they went to the stripped down version in the last couple of episodes, too bad they turned everyone away before that.

Sarah; I only watch 4 shows on fox, let's hope it stays that way. If possible movie promotions helped greenlight a second season after a strike shortened first, it's even a better reason to go with the third.

Unusuals; watched this last week. It was so weird to describe I easily see this going by without sufficient time to develop an audience base.
