Stupid people tried to turn over another cop car but cops stopped it before they were able to.

are you watching some live news feed?

I would think at 9pm the local stations have something better to broadcast. At least until the fire was set. then they'll jump in.

Orlando fans were about 1 million times more gracious than the Detroit fans the other night in a losing effort.

Yea...those Detroit fans were embarrassing. Then again, they're in Detroit.

Right after the game, one of the stations has been showing only Lakers stuff.

I'm guessing the parade is off now huh. Unless the lakers foot the whole bill. the City has to pay for this crap. If it was up to me I'd book everyone of these idiots and charge them a part of the entire bill. Few years ago idiots did this crap in SF over the war. City had to pay for it and in turn cut some spending and guess what same idiots who trashed shit got pissy.

wow these guys are idiots. been watching it on kcal9 for a while. idiots are rocking the cars that drive by, and i've seen a few jump on the cars as well. now, it looks like they just tried to walk onto the 110 freeway, but i think cops got them off.

Anyone else think that was antisocial when Kobe kept his kids and wife by his side a few minutes after winning? I think that was stupid to bring them on the stage...he and his teammates went 'blood, sweat, and tears' the whole season, yet he turns to his wife and kids almost immediately after some quick hugs and a few words with his teammates. For some reason that bugged the sh!t out of me.

Anyhow, congrats to the lakers. Orlando has a long ways to go but a lot of that was about being exposed by the lakers coaching as well (and van gundy's tactics or lack of too.) They played so well until the lakers, and then only won 1 game and often looked like a pretty inept bunch.

Orlando lived and died by the 3, that's not going to get you very far against a complete team. The Cavs were built to beat Boston but Boston got taken out by Orlando mostly due to missing key player(s).

Maybe his family/kids are his biggest inspiration in life?

Kobe can't win can he? He was already jumping around with the other guys before hand. If you notice it wasn't exactly just kobe who was just have a few quick hugs and that's it. Plus they went to commercial breaks so who knows what he or anyone else did during the break.

Other players had their family with them, some didn't. I know Fisher had his wife there. There were some odd people on stage Joey Buss aside that didn't look like staff.

I don't criticize him for being a family man, but I guess there is a time for them, and holding on to them everywhere as closely as he did immediately after winning a championship seemed to distance himself from his team around him. The stage was a celebration of his team's accomplishments, not for everyone's family. It left the impression in my mind that the bond with his teammates isn't all that great. I've seen other players carry a child or two around, but not drag the wife around that quickly as well.

I never understand why people do this. I'm so happy our team on the championship lets trash our city.

Yea it's ridiculous. These are the people that supposedly have so much "LA Pride" yet trash the city and give it a bad name.

To be fair, Derek Fisher had his wife on stage as well.

Kobe gets #4 and all people can say is he shouldnt have had his family on stage?

I guess if thats all anyone can say, he'd doin OK.

Good job Lake-show. Next year you may be facing a healthy BOS and a CLE w/Shaq, and an Orlando team that has tasted the finals.

Great time in the NBA right now.

If D. Howard gets a low-post game, and starts making 70%+ FT.....look out.

I didn't know that, only what looked like Bynam's mom. Anyhow, its really not meant to be a rip...just wondering if anyone else got that impression.

I've been supporting him winning and rooting for the lakers to win. They deserve it, he deserves it, and it was awesome to see them win.

I see nothing wrong with him or any of the team having their family on stage with them.

woooooooooo lakers! just got back from the staples center and left before it got really crazy. so hopefully the team rests up, enjoy their title, and get ready to defend next year in their bid for a back-to-back!

yeah it seems like other parents were on stage as well ... dunno, I don't think it was stupid or disrespect to the other players, just shows how much family means to him. Plus he's always greeted by his family after the games in the playoffs.
