Indeed. I don't know what it is but the referees are hesitant on the whistle on a lot of calls these past several minutes.

good game. calls went both ways so i am not gonna compalin about the kobe elbow. orlando has no one to blame but themselves. they could'nt hit free throws at all.

Kobe wasn't looking anywhere near Nelson (that was the first thing I looked for). There was no intent there. Should have been a foul, though.
The Magic got away with a ton of fouls of their own, regardless - both sides did. They lost because they couldn't hit free throws, plain and simple.

And Gasol in that situation is simply trying to keep the ball away from the Magic - he ended up with it right under the basket and decided to end it right there. I don't understand how you could be happy with that kind of a foul. Maybe there wasn't intent to harm, but there was some kind of intent there, follow-through and all.

Yeah, probably, there was 28 seconds when he shot it. But also very very stupid, since he didn't get a good shot yet were only down by 3. Definitely not worth sacrificing a quality look.
