GO NUGGS!!!!!!!

They will suprise everyone and at least get to the Finals against the Cavs. Not a single person gives the Nuggs any credit at all and still aren't even though they are destroying teams at a high level - the only team more dominant is the Cavs and they have yet to play a single team

And then you will wake up.

^--- still dreaming about that scumbag kobe

Kobe has accomplished more in his life and done more for this country than you ever will. Does that make you cry in your pillow at night?

More for this country? because he won a gold medal? You dont think the Redeem team could have done it without him? I definitely think they could have. They probably could have done it without Lebron too. The talent in the NBA is just too deep.

How has Kobe "done more for this country" than Phokus? Do you have any knowledge of anything Phokus has done? If you are referring to the basketball gold medal in the Olympics, while it's a wonderful accomplishment, I don't think it has had any appreciable impact on the USA. We're not any better or worse off because of it.

Wow Boston got sooo many lucky bounces on top of that BS home cooking call.

You mean the shot that did not graze the rim?

Yup, don't know how they could reverse such a call but they did.

It glazed the rim. You can clearly see how the ball quickly changes directions in the replay.
It didn't appear to change direction until Perkins (iirc, it was Perkins) touched it just after it hit the net. The ball never looked like it touched the rim, or if did the replay was inconclusive. To reverse a call like that with such flimsy evidence at such a critical point was assinine. That's about all that can be expected of the refs in these playoffs though. Asshat calls left and right.

Regardless, Orlando didn't deserve to win after squandering a 14 point lead.

It's almost impossible to gauge the trajectory of the ball from the camera angles we've seen. One thing I noticed after several replays is that the rotation of the ball did not appear to change. By this, I would have to say that it did not hit the rim.

IDR if the refs looked at the replay, or if they made the decision by talking it over.

It seems like almost every year, controversy with the refs takes center stage. 🙁

not just the gold medal. that would be one of the most insignificant things he's done for the country.

OCGuy is probably referring to the time and money that kobe has contributed to charity. probably more money than the rest of us simply because he's richer than us. and one hour of his time is far more valuable than an hour a regular guy off the street contributes, due to his celebrity status.

The $$ donated is great, no arguing that.

The "time" - well, that may or may not be a different story. Most pro athletes are financially compensated for that, and usually contracts have clauses that require "charitable" work. And, of course, the goodwill turns into $$ from endorsements due to positive recognition.

And the 5 minutes Kobe takes to serve lentil soup to the homeless is certainly not of greater worth than that of the volunteer next to him.

And anyway, if we're talking Kobe, we should be talking about his monstrous performance against the Rockets last night. Is Houston completely demoralized now?

admittedly i couldn't finish the game, flashes of our 40 pt blowout by Dallas in 2005 playoffs haunted me. kobe was gonna get his no doubt, but gasol just toying with us and bynum finally making an impact? good lord. the loss was expected, the lack of focus and execution was not. not optimistic for tomrrow, but will be happy as long as we come back strong and fight back.

kobe fans should just accept the haters. they'll always be here.

even if kobe saved a bunch of school children from a burning school bus while on his way to slam dunk a basketball on osama bin laden's head. there'd still be haters.

same with lebron. just accept it. wasn't there a bunch of idiots who used to hate on Jordan as well (mostly from Utah)?

I rarely here people hating on LBJ. It's almost universally accepted that Kobe's a douche.

Just wait until LBJ sleeps with a white 19 year old whore who later claims "rape" so she can line her pockets with $$$. We'll see what America does then.

I think he is smarter than that though. Lebron is a media darling, but we all know what happens to those eventually.

The public likes nothing more than to build someone up and then tear them down.

Almost? lol, outside of Laker fans it is universal. And Laker fans are so dumb Kobe could run over a Mother with 2 infants in a stroller killing all 3 and speed off. And they'd still claim he was this amazing person.

People hate on Lebron because he's that damn good, people hate on Kobe because he's a Doucher of epic proportions. He's so bad I can no longer watch the team I grew up loving. I use to be one of those "I bleed Laker purple and gold!" thanks to Kobe I now root against them. His Douche powers are almost unhuman.

Few people liked Kobe prior to that "incident". That's the reason folks were so eager to jump on the "I hate Kobe" bandwagon.

Judging by your posts, you're probably too young to remember Kobe's behavior when he first joined the league. He was arrogant as hell and incredibly selfish.

Ah yes, there it is. I was wondering where your weekly "I used to be a Laker fan" spiel went. lol

Anyone see a #1pick vs #2 pick in the finals? aka Lebron vs Carmelo... would be epic but i dont think it is what the NBA wants...

I doubt the NBA wanted San Antonio is all those Finals, either, but that's what they got.

Not impressed with Jason Kidd smiling & chatting w/Kenyon Martin just a few seconds after the game is over.

Why? It's a freaking GAME... they are FRIENDS... can't FRIENDS talk?

2nd team - CP3, Brandon Roy, Duncan, Pierce, Yao

Good for Yao. He really impressed me in game 1.

uh, Melo was the #3 pick, Darko was #2. But I can see how you could forget that seeing as Darko has fallen off the face of the earth.
