I wonder why all the Kobe-haters sound like they have one in their mouth tonight?

Oh yea, because that was an amazing performance.

It was an amazing performance.

So you have no problem with Kobe's behavior over the years? Are you more a Kobe fan than a Lakers fan? The Lakers may have won a couple of more championships if he hadn't forced management to ditch Shaq.

the best part of his "performance" is when he acted like he didn't know what happened. Still don't know why he wasn't ejected after the elbow either. He could score 100 points, I don't care the dude is still a piece of shit. I get joy out of knowing Kobe knows as good as he is, Lebron is far better. All Kobe wants to be is #1, and that he won't reach.

Because it was a non-intentional foul on a box out. I mean, I understand if you're a Rockets fan and you're just wearing your rose-colored glasses - but that fould happens on 1 in 3 possessions on every player.

As for LeBroom being better than Kobe? It's pretty evenly matched ... technically, neither player is the best in the NBA - they're both the best players the past few seasons - but best player in the NBA belongs to either Duncan or Shaq.

This year, LBJ was considerably better than Kobe. Duncan's a couple of years past his prime, Shaq even more so. Neither has demonstrated he's capable of carrying his team any longer.

If you are the best player the past few seasons, you are the best player in the league. It's not a lifetime achievement thing.

RonRon had to get thrown out because he ran across the court to confront Kobe AFTER talking to the refs. If a scuffle happens and two guys get in each other's faces, they both get techs, and that's in the heat of the moment (which is the only reason they don't get thrown out). Artest waited a minute (talking to the refs), THEN decided to confront. If he had gotten in Kobe's face when it happened he never would have gotten thrown out. It seems like the smart idea to avoid Kobe and talk to the refs, but if you lose your argument, get over it and beat him on the court.

I was flipping between the Jays game and missed the Fisher foul. Will have to look that up!

I can't decide anymore who I want to win this series.

I love this argument - best player in the NBA is a career long term, not season. Best player this SEASON is the correct term that's never used.

That's not the argument being made. If you are the best player in the league over the last few seasons, then you are the best player in the league. Nobody mentioned this was based on one season.

By the time it's all said and done, LBJ will be a better player than Kobe. Kobe is a selfish goal scorer, and that's about it. He's yet to win anything without Shaq, and even if he does this year, it's because the rest of his team is stacked. As to how they acquired Pau Gasol is beyond me...guess Stern wanted to keep the Lakers good for a little longer.

LBJ, on the other hand, is a simply better all around player. He's already taken his mediocre team to the Finals, and they have a pretty good shot at winning it all this year. If you put Kobe on that Cleveland team, I don't think they'd have any chance at all

LBJ wouldn't touch the finals if he was in the west, period. LBJ is just as much of a selfish ball hog than Kobe, he has fucking Chosen 1 tattooed on his back for christ sakes.

Proof he's a ball hog!

Seriously, that's insane. Lebron runs the team much of the time, of course he has the ball. I think one telling sign of the difference between them is team chemistry. Cavs have it, while the lakers don't have a lot of it. They respect each other and Jackson is a great leader, but chemistry seems to be built around tolerance for Kobe's play because of his remarkable skills. He can be a great team player, but one never knows what wild hair he's going to have up his @ss at any given moment.

I think Kobe is the best offensive-capable player in the league, but Lebron is clearly the best overall player.

Now if Wade and Lebron could sacrifice some salary so Wade could sign with the Cavs next year, they could run the table for a while, which would in turn really open up the endorsement cash cow for both of them.

Except that's the problem - LeBron is a forward, not a point guard. He needs to let the point guard run the team, or none of them will want to stay for very long.

Kobe bent him over a chair and raped him. That's what Kobe does, and that's why Mrs. Bryant has all that jewelry.

Nobody should be suspended. Only person to be suspended is Alston.

I agree, when you are looking back on a career. But in the current NBA landscape, Duncan is simply no longer the best player. He couldn't even carry his team out of the 1st round. He's plum worn out from playing so many games.

Kobe - Flagrant 1, if anything. Probably nothing.

Fisher - MAYBE 1 game, but doubt it.

Alston - 1 game and lulz

Which Western Conference team are you putting LBJ on?
