Danny Ainge has not proven to be a good GM, IMO. He squandered a few years before acquiring Garnett and Allen. If he hadn't done that, right now the Celtics would be Pierce (maybe - he might have been traded), Jefferson and some young players running around. If anything, with Garnett & Allen they revived the Celtics "soul".

Yeah, I love the heart of the Bulls. I also love the heart of the Celtics. The Celtics have a free pass this year - no Garnett, no Leon Powe, no bench, so no expectations. But they are playing hard and with pride. The Bulls are young and athletic and deep, and I don't think they are even playing above their heads.

Again, Hinrich initiated things w/his box-out. Did Rondo escalate? Yes. Hinrich went back and attacked Rondo after that. That ameliorates some of the sympathy Hinrich might have received.

That play does not warrant anything more than a foul, and a technical on both players.

You still refuse to address the fact that the Bulls pounded the hell out of Pierce.

I have an idea. Why don't you stop whining like a little girl, grow a pair, and root for your team on Saturday?

So the best argument you could come up with was that "Hinrich started it" by boxing out? Really? That's what you came up with and you are calling me a whiner? So by Hinrich boxing out one of the best rebounding guards in the league, who also has been murdering the Bulls on the glass, the proper retaliation was a WWE hip toss onto a table?

And it obviously was more than just a technical. They had to look at the fucking tape to decide if it was a flagrant 1 or 2, not if it was a foul or not. Hinrich got a foul for reacting to the body slam, which how can you blame him for? What was he supposed to do? Pat Rondo on the back for nice execution of the wresting move?

I did not realize I was dealing with a fucking idiot, I'll leave my argument at that.

I'm not an "e-tuff" guy. I'm not a real-life "tough guy". I'm a guy who's played 1000's of basketball games, and have been tossed to the ground (usually blacktop) plenty of times. It hurts (a lot more than hardwood), but the game goes on.

Again, you can't box out like Hinrich did w/o going for the ball. You can't force a push a player out of his position w/o it being a foul. Which is what Hinrich did. I'm not saying Rondo should have done what he did, but it's not as big of a deal as everyone is making it. There are highlights on ESPN of players throwing/pushing each other to the floor every week. It's a foul, maybe a T, and that's it. Now everyone's hypersensitive.

Whether Rondo is playing well against the Bulls has no bearing on the call. That's just ridiculous to even bring up. By your rationale, what should Detroit have done against Jordan in the 90's? Chop his head off?

And yet again, you still refuse to address the way the Bulls mugged Pierce. Oh wait, you only want things to go the Bulls' way.

Maybe I think the way I do, because I don't care who wins this series, I just want good basketball.

I wonder if you can even get through a post without cursing. Someone might actually take you seriously then. For now, we all just :laugh:

No. He can score in the post and rebound, but isn't a very good defender, isn't a good passer, isn't good for team chemistry, and is injury prone. While he was a dream teamer, he was also a crappy one. I just don't like him.

I'm trying to think of a young, talented big man that the Bulls can add... any ideas?

They'll have Luol Deng back next year, but I think they'll lose Ben Gordon.
 
Bulls lack of experience is going to hurt them in Game 7.

D-wade is going to have a big game tonight after all the crap talking and that missed dunk getting thrown in his face, it's bubbling up for him. I think even with his hurt back he's at least get 30.

I think Boston's done. They are simply too thin on the bench. I had the Celtics winning in 7 games, but that was before Leon Powe got hurt. I think the Bulls will win, and I hope it's a close game.

Interesting, on ESPN one of the reporters intimated that there is actually a slight chance that Kevin Garnett suits up for game 7

I also hope that D-Wade goes for 40+. Atlanta is one of the few sports towns I actively dislike, as too many of their fans are @$$h0les.

Yea I've been watching ESPN as well and hearing them say taht KG might suit up??? I don't think Doc Rivers would even risk it. He's not young any more and can't heal fast any more. No way Rivers would risk his best player even more injury by putting him out there. It's not like he'd be able to do much anways after being gone for 2 months.

The fact is, Rondo should have been ejected, and suspended for a game. But since its all about rating, they didnt do anything. If it had been a bench warmer, it would have happened. Rondo has a history during this series, guess it will take a folding chair to the back of the head for an ejection to happen. Robert Horry got a suspension for a hip check. Rondo threw an elbow, put someones tooth thru their gum (two seperate plays), and shoved someone over the scorers table, and not a thing done to him. Lack of consistency is astounding.

The irony of all of this is, someone from the Bulls will probably get ejected for something not as bad, but the refs will try and "crack down" and screw the Bulls over.

What about the Bulls player who hit Pierce so hard in the mouth that he had to go back to the locker room to get stitches? Bulls weren't even called for a foul. Earlier in the game, Pierce drove to the hoop, a Bulls player "wound up", chopped down hard on Pierce's face/neck, no Flagrant called.

Horry "forearmed" both Nash and someone else (I can't remember who) w/o even attempting to go for the ball.

Rondo got a Flagrant for what he did to Hinrich. On the Brad Miller play, Rondo couldn't even see wherer he was hitting, and there was no "wind up". The aforementioned foul on Pierce was at least ass bad, and yet no foul was called at all.
 
You're describing, different players committing fouls. And Pierces foul wasnt easy to see, with a player going for the tying shot. Rondo is one player, doing it over and over. Miller was going for the tying slam, and whack, in the face. No I dont think Rondo ment to hit him in the face, yet its just another hard foul by Rondo. He did mean to push someone over the scorers table, and he did mean to swing an elbow, barely missing a face. Once again, the fact is, the refs are not calling games evenly. And he should have been ejected/suspended.

Also, Horry didnt forearm him, he hip checked him. Then Nash flopped like a fish.
