2009 Hennessey GTR600, 0-60 in 2.9 sec!

That really is an incredible car. Too bad it can't be reliable when driven the way it is meant to be driven.

I haven't seen any conclusive proof of this.

Up the horsepower by almost 200, or say 40% and don't touch the transmission? Yeah, that'll take the beating long-term. Or NOT.

Too bad it's from Hennessey. Guy is a goddamn crook.

Give it a rest - he had some questionable business practices many years ago and supposedly repaid all of his customers or made right with them.

It's Hennessey, aka no quality control or real thought went into it. Take a couple of bolt ons, throw them and do a barely adequate job of tuning it for 100% profit on the parts.

I've actually seen a Hennessey Exhaust kit for the RAM SRT10. Magnaflow exhaust + some mild steel tubing and a exhaust tip. Didn't even come with mounting hardware, but I guess it's too much to ask, just the fact that your car hasn't been stolen and parted out is pretty lucky already.

I really wonder which poor sucker gave hennessy his GTR for some upgrades, because he wont be seeing it anytime soon, at least not until the media and hennessy are done having fun and wearing out his car.

I would check the registration on the vehicle, $10 says its not Hennessy's car...

If made right by them, you mean started personal flamewars about customers unprovoked on the internet, sure.

I still stand by what I say, even if you trust his business practices, no reason to ever buy from him. He cuts corners wherever he can. $1000 for a cat back, mild steel exhaust cobbled together from stuff you could easily get yourself from any summit performance catalog at a 100% profit margin with no mounting hardware completely overpriced. For that price, you could get a full stainless steel cat back and headers.

After what he did I wouldn't trust him.

Not after what he did. He was an out and out crook.

Yes, that really is him.

Read through this thread. You'll never want to deal with the guy after you do.

"GTR600 hit 193.8 mph in the standing mile, said Hennessey, and it hit 150 mph in just 14.3 sec."

Had to do a doubletake on that, ridiculous.

The T56 is a great transmission, and the viper spec is about it's strongest. From the factory that tranny will definitely handle the additional 200hp, and beg for more. I'd be more interested in the rear end surviving, the tranny as I said before will be fine.

I think in the newest vipers they're using the TR6060? I'd have to double check. But they're all T56 based.
