Thanks to everyone here at AT for recommending the Focus. The more I looked at it and drove it the more I liked it. Every time I tell people that I got a Focus they give me a look and then when they see my car theyre like WOW.

Here are the pics

Yes they are factory rims. Everything is factory on it except for the remote start.

I'm pretty sure they are 17"s. A couple of people said the car looks similar to the BMW 1 series.

w3rd. You need a manual if you're a Man, yo.

Meh, I'm not going to begrudge anyone for choosing a slushbox. My current car has one unfortunately...

My next car doesn't offer the option of an automatic or a flappy paddle gearbox either thank god.

Give me a proper shifter and a clutch any day.

We have to put up with this.

sarcasm? I think the euro version looks way better than the US version.

that and the euro version is based on a better platform.

still not a fan of the focus styling myself, but at least Ford is trying.

hey I had to fight the wife just to get the coupe. she gave me a hard time with the kid on the way and how hard its going to get the car seat in and out.

i told her thats why she has a 4 door car and i didn't mind. she can't drive stick so if we had to swap cars for some reason I wouldn't want her to be without a car.

Euro version is a far more expensive C1-based product. It's nice, but not exactly a 'Focus' in the sense that we're used to seeing here in the states : Ford's economy car to replace the Escort.

They both work well in their respective markets. The next-gen Focus is supposed to be a globally-unified platform, I wonder how that will work out.

Different, not really 'better'. The Focus gained a ton of weight from MK1 to C1, and that hurts it as an economy car. 1st-gen Euro Focus RS is supposed to be the best-ever Focus for handling/track duties as well, as the weight hurts the '04+ models.

The C1 allowed for a slightly larger layout (roomier!), improved safety and rigidity, and for more sound dampening.

The RS looks sweet however styling-wise it doesn't look much different then mine.

Kinda wish I had bought the Focus, got a Versa instead, but I love the hatch and the capacity of my car.

Hope the Focus keeps you happy for years to come!

One of the prime reasons I think Ford was right to wait on totally revamping the US Focus platform, is that the replacement was a more expensive, larger setup, and it was already available as the Mazda3. Being that Mazda/Ford are more partners than competitors, it makes little sense to overlap like that. So it has worked pretty well, Focus as the entry-level economy product, and Mazda3 as the slightly more expensive, more upscale cousin, with more high-end options and models.
