Accord. Accord has a much nicer interior than Camry and much better handling. Camry has a worst-in-class interior and a steering system that is completely numb.

You should also look at other midsize sedans. The 2009 Mazda 6 is said to be more sporty than the Accord and also has a very nice interior.

Out of those two, Accord. Out of the ones in the same price range, Altima. No Mazda 6, unless it's proven to have strong resale value this time.

camry has so floaty steering, sucks so bad
Camry will have higher performance but the handling will feel really bad.
Camry interior is pretty crappy compared to the accord

Accord > Camry

Mazda 6 will not have a high resale value do to one key factor, its a Mazda.

I am thinking Mazda's name may improve with the cult following the Mazda 3 esp. is getting.

In the past I'd say pick the Camry for luxury and comfort and the Accord if you like to get into tossing a car around but need this pricepoint/type of car.

Today, the Camry is sort of a let down. The altima (esp with the 3.5L) and maxima seem much nicer but more expensive than base accord/camry...however; if you are targeting the upper end of those two then the nissan is right there.

For Mazda, it's not much to do with name. It's to do with too many 1-2 year old used cars that were fleet vehicles in market (mostly from rental car company) and being sold relatively cheaper.

I hope Mazda (or Ford, depends on who has more power in signing B2B contracts) would not give too good deal to the rental company, so I can see less cars in the used market.

I am in the process of shopping for a mid size sedan. I have driven accord, camry and 6. I liked 6 best, camry second, accord last.

Actually those are typically 90's era model years that are stolen since the whole chip in key thing makes things harder for more modern cars.

Doesn't matter; why put your property on some puke's radar regardless?

Why not get something very original, and yet something your average dumbass piece of shit puke won't want to steal because its parts have a market of around 5 people?

Not everyone lives in a ghetto nor parks in risky areas.

The most stolen cars get that way usually because they are the most popular cars.

Newsflash; I have worked for the local newspaper covering the city of San Diego: Cars can get stolen anywhere anytime, and the most "popular" cars getting stolen are exactly the type of cars the OP just mentioned. There's a lot of them, and they're stolen for selling parts, not because some idiot wants to joyride.

Mazda 3's have horrible resale value for the reasons everydae stated.
Protoge has a similar cult following with a similarly poor resale value
Mazda 6 has a poor resale value (I don't see too many rental Mazda6's)

I am not against Mazda in any way, but I'm being a realist here

Pfffft! Think BIG! Act BOLD! Buy yourself a train.

Lay track. Publish schedules. Charge riders. Wear a cool engineer's cap.

Girls will want to blow your whistle, and pull a train! :p

Just make really, really sure she wants to go all the way before you build up a full head of steam heading into that tunnel, because nothing stops a Trane.

Those would all be horrible purchases. They may be fine vehicles, but the rapid depreciation American vehicles still have makes them an unwise buy.

I buy a car that I like, not based on what it *might* be relatively worth a few years from now when I want a new one.

I don't know what the newer camry or the accord are like, but I wasn't very impressed with my coworker's newer honda civic. I mean the freakin' door trim didn't fit properly on either side at the top rear corners, I could stick my fingers in the gap between the trim and the actual doorframe. Lame.

That's you and this thread isn't about you. I don't care about resale value either but maybe that's what the OP is looking for.

You don't even know how they are like, you only saw Civic (totally different car from its Accord brother, as Honda's design concept has been changed since newer Civic's intro back in 2006, both interior and exterior), and giving a suggestion to OP who asked a suggest between two? I must admit that I am very impressed.

For me at any rate, resale value means nothing since I plan on keeping my cars around ten years

Well by that don't even think about getting a American car.

I'm getting a Camry in the next 2 years but it's gonna be a 2005/2006 version. I don't like the new style.
