Stop racing rice. Civics are for fuel sipping, not track times. The S2000 is an awesome, fun to drive roadster, but let's not pretend it's in the same league as real muscle. Honda makes fantastic daily drivers and some good "fun to drive" toys.
theres haters everywhere. if its not rwd v8, its crap in this forum
You appear to have trouble with adjectives. You will note that I described the S2000 in that post variously as "awesome", "fun", and "fantastic". I would not describe that as hating.
But don't pull up to a Corvette or Charger SRT8 in your S2000 and start revving at him. You're only going to make him laugh.
Roadsters and muscle cars are built for different characteristics. The problem is, most people don't seem to be able to understand that.

S2k + decent forced induction = better than most 'muscle' cars stock. Plenty of them in the low 12s, high 11s, with trap speeds at 115+.
But yeah, stock S2K is not exactly a contender against Vette or whatever, but look at the price difference.
Comparing aftermarket tuned vehicles to stock vehicles has always been a moot exercise in my mind. I suppose you can make an argument on an equal cost basis (i.e. performance per dollar), but even then there are intangibles like wear and tear. A force-induced 4 banger pushing tons of boost to match performance of a stock V8 is going to require a lot more maintenance. It's just not a good solution.
As mentioned, they're different machines for different things. The S2000 is an excellent car and I'd love to have one. Just don't mistake it for something it isn't.
