Alas, those people will still be driving a Nissan.![]()
The GTR would most likely beat an M3, however a BMW lover could just go get an M5 with 500 hp and rape that Nissan.

Nice engine, disappointing style. As a current G35 owner it looks like they've improved everything but the exterior. Whoever compared it to the (ugh) Altima is right. Really went cheesy and conservative on the styling this time.

Since the new M3 uses the old BMW M5 V8 block, which produces 400HP with 500Nm of torque. You can extrapolate the extra 20Hp to equate a total of 525NM's of torque.
You do the math.
You cannot extrapolate figures like that. They could have gained more HP by either increasing the torque at the same RPM, or by making it rev higher.

The GT-R will not be using the Infiniti name (according to Ghosn). It has been and will always be a Nissan car (except if you exclude that the Skyline itself was originally developed by Prince Motors before it merged with Nissan-Datsun... Nissan still developed the Skyline that we all know today, the GT-R). It's also supposed to have near 480 HP from what I've read, not 450. Supposedly, it will be using a VQ in TT fashion (which is what the spy pictures help support) as to what model exactly... no one is entirely sure.
I just wish Nissan wouldn't shoot for the high-end market with it. The original GT-Rs cost around 40k, not around 70k like most are speculating the new GT-R to cost.

What's with all the Altima hate... I like my 2007 Altima 3.5SL. Much better than the similarly-equipped Maxima.
