My thought was that in the 9th you have to face Papelbon and that the heart of the line-up was due in the 8th. Now you go into the 9th with the bottom of the line-up against one of the best closers in the game.Originally posted by: OdiN
Uhm...no we do have a 9th inning here in the NL you know.Originally posted by: ProfJohn
This is it... last chance for the Rockies.
Not good.
Our bottom of the lineup has hit pretty damn well at times when they've needed to.

This postseason has been pretty disappointing.
I really enjoyed the ALCS
Eh, AL baseball is not nearly as interesting as NL baseball.
Care to type up the winners of the WS and ASGs over the last couple years.
its been pretty even between NL and AL in terms of WSes...
Assuming nothing changes in this game, of the last 10 there will have been 7 AL to 3 NL victories, which includes 5 sweeps by the AL.
sure... but in the last 7 its been 3-4 NL to AL. I don't really feel like counting the Yanks 3 in a row, and even if you did, you would at least expect the AL to have a bit of an edge on the NL considering the ridiculous differences in payroll between the two.
