Fantastic looking truck. Great job on the interior too.
Based on General Motors' all-new full-size SUV platform, the '07 Escalade features new powertrain, chassis, safety and interior systems. These integrated systems deliver the most powerful and most efficient luxury SUV in the segment, led by a new 6.2L all-aluminum V-8 engine with variable valve timing technology delivering 403 horsepower (300 kw)* and 417 lb.-ft. of torque (565 Nm).*
Sweet.😀

I don't understand the negativity about this vehicle. There are several trucks in this segment. For once, GM upgrades a model before it gets too old and uncompetitive and everybody rags on them. Did you honestly expect them to let the platform sit untouched for any longer? Or perhaps they should just cancel their full-size truck platform.

I don't understand the point of buying a vehicle like this. If you want luxury, there are MUCH better luxury vehicles.
The main competitors in this segment are the Infiniti QX and Lincoln Navi. The Lexus LX and Land Rover Range Rover are both similarly priced, but a little smaller.

Which of these do you think is a better vehicle?

I didn't say anything about SUVs... But if you insist on limiting the options, then Infiniti's (FX) and Land Rover's vehicles are better. A little smaller? Yeah, but what are you going to use your Escalade for? Transporting kilo bags of coke?

that comment is totally false.

you are as informed as a satchel of magic powder.

edit: cars nowdays put out air out of the exhaust that is cleaner than the air we breathe. i know this for a fact as i have visited the scientific research lab at one of the big 3 where they demonstrated it for us.

Are you trying to tell me that the Cadillac is a better vehicle than my Range Rover?

It's probably more reliable (well, that's most likely a definite YES 🙂) and it most likely has more room for passengers/cargo.

The Escalade is a luxury SUV and Caddy knows how to pamper its occupants.

The Infiniti FX isn't even in the same class as the Escalade. He said QX. And that case, the new Escalade stomps all over the QX.

The interior in the new Escalade makes the QX interior look like the old Escalade's interior. And let's not even talk about the powertrain. The QX doesn't even come close

Do car gurus exist here? Every car thread seems to have someone mention how much they love their Prius over anything else. WTF.

I have a Range Rover concierge on call who can get me tickets to sold out shows. Now that's pampering! BTW, we have never had anything go wrong with this vehicle.

if you knew anything you would realise it isnt ANOTHER suv on the market, its replacing an aging design, and not only that, but it is raising the MPG of the old design.

im gunnna guess MPG of 18/21 on the engine

I simply asked a question.🙂

But since you mentioned it, the Caddie is larger, has more power, and can tow heavier loads. On top of all this, the estimated mileage will be on-par or better than your Rover.

The Caddie comes in about ~15-20,000 less than the entry level Range Rover, for similar features (and keep in mind that is the current Escalade, not next-gen). Let me know if the link doesn't work.

The interior design is finally competitive, but it's difficult to judge quality simply by looking at pictures. I'm sure the Rover is better at some things, the Caddie will be better at others.

And you've been sniffing his magic powder...

So, you're saying you could park your car in your bedroom with the engine running and no ventilation and you'd wake up refreshed the next morning?

I got news for you, you'd be dead in 20 minutes.

the majority of pollution comes from other sources like heating in homes, open fires, and power plants.

modern vehicles actually put out cleaner air than we currently breathe
