updated. duke has offered tennessee's cutcliff their coaching job.

he's gonna take it from all reports I've read. I can only hope he takes some of the assistants with him.

I thought people at Duke were supposed to be smart.

Rich Rodriguez to Michigan?

maybe he realized white/slaton aren't good enough to get a national title, even through the big east schedule.

could be confirmed

I'd wait until either university confirmed it. ESPN "sources close to the situation" have been wrong more than right lately.

Yep. They were wrong last year when Rodriguez was supposed to go to Alabama.

it's official, rodriguez to michigan🙂

So, instead of losing to Pitt & Dave Wannstedt he'll lose to Ohio State & Jim Tressel. 😉

lol. Care to make a bet on that? You couldn't even beat Illinois's spread offense.

i think feldenak is more of a RR hater than a buckeye supporter.

Well, growing up along the Ohio River, I enjoy ridiculing the hoopies (a WVa native, CRR will always be a hoopie). In all honesty, I root for 4 teams (in this order):

1) Auburn
2) Ohio State
3) Whoever's playing Bama
4) Whoever's playing Michigan

Big East > Big 10

All he has to do is beat a perennially overrated OSU team to win that pathetic conference. The big east is actually getting the better and better, while the big 10 is just falling apart.

saban to WVU?

Not

The way things are going, it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

He is a native of WVa...maybe he wants to go home. Once a hoopie. Always a hoopie.

Well, just looking at it objectively, W Va couldn't keep the commitment to Rodriguez they made to him last year in terms of assistant coach's salaries, facilities, support etc. Compare that with Alabama that has great facilities, support, salaries, etc.

Not to mention that Saban is currently bringing in a top 3 recruiting class this off-season. That's why you're seeing rumors like this.

Honestly, I'd expect Petrino to be gone before Saban as soon as he realizes that he's not getting McFadden or Jones back, he has no viable QB, and he's losing half his defense.

coming off the heels of a dominating fiesta bowl victory, WVU has promoted Bill Stewart to head coach.
