Specs from the Brochure:

2.0 liters
210hp@7800
143torque@7000
redline 8100
compression ratio 11.0
stabilizer bars(front/back) 26.5mm/21mm
17/7 aluminum-alloy

Gear Ratio:
1st:3.27
2nd:2.13
3rd:1.52
4th:1.15
5th:0.92
6th:0.74
Final Drive: 4.77

Weight 2840lbs

New Colors: Blaze Orange Metallic, Magnesium Metallic, Vivid Blue, Jade Green
Returning Colors: Milano Red, Satin Silver Metallic, Premium White Pearl, Nighthawk Black Pearl

Redline has been increased, runs close to the 2004 S2000 redline now. (8100 rpms, versus 8200 on the S2000).

Supposedly the leather quality is better (RSX leather sucked in the old cars), with new seats that have better bolstering. Gauges look a little different than previous years, with a white background that turns red at night.

There's also supposedly a dual stage intake manifold ala the TL/CL Type S that gives the RSX a much better torque curve. The new final drive is from the JDM Integra Type R which makes people think that the car should be able to pull low 14s in the 1/4 mile (???). The JDM ITR pulls a 14 flat in the 1/4 mile with 220hp.

The stabilizer bars are also thicker which should add to the handling characteristics of the car.

Supposedly will get Projector HIDs, heated seats, and a better sound system, but this has yet to be determined. It almost looks like it could have Projector HIDs in the pictures though.

looks like a two door RL. looks better though. But I still dont see why it has practically no torque. I know its a small light car but common. I get more torque in an accord.

I currently have an RSX, and that car looks basically the same. Even the rims look identical, and the dash is the same in the new one as it was in the old s-type.

Looks much nicer. I hate the garish headlights on current RSXs, and the leather inside is indeed VERY cheap...feels almost 'foamy'.

Any info on the '05 TSX? I'm not expecting any redesign, but it'd be nice to know what they're adding since my sister's about to buy one...she wonders if its worth taking the $1000 cash incentive or if she should stick it out for the '05.

From what I understand, the '05 TSX is supposed to get a power passenger seat and possibly memory seats. Thats all I've heard for the '05 TSX. The changes of course would be minor, but I've heard a lot of talk about the power passenger seat. Checkout Acura-TSX.com for more info.

it looks the same as it did before but those aren't the best pictures. It'll probably look a lot different in person.

frontal part of its profile reminds me of the RX-8. Slight tweaks, tastefully done.

heh, I guess they figured out the ugly lights just weren't working.

Funny that you mention it, there is a fix for the torque problem if you get a 2.4L accord short block swap. link Cost for a 2.4 short block is ~$700 these days, just labor intensive.

I wonder why honda hasn't done it even now as a factory setup.

The rumor i heard was that the 05 RSX was supposed to get an SMG type tranny as an option, and in that case, I'd consider getting one. But that doesn't appear to be so. :(

Yes. Don't want a coupe.

The do - it's called the Acura TL :p

I was going to buy a RSX two years back but instead went with a Grand Prix - figure that one.

Anyhow, even though it is somewhat of a fun car, the RSX, and I love the racing inspired seats the power just massively lacked. Massively.

The styling changes seem to be marginal, at best. Seems like Honda has a lot of potential with this car, but they keep falling short of the success that they had with the Integra

The Accord with a stick isn't any more "fun" to drive than the auto version. Believe me. If you want sporty, go with the 6 or maybe the Altima, or if your wallet allows, the Legacy or the G35.

Is this lighter than the 2004 model, and has Acura announced the price yet?
