Is it me or do all the recent coupes coming out look like some variation of the Auidi TT ?

My father will want one of those. He has a serious Chrysler fetish. I've never been attracted to mopars.

From the article:
A favorite feature of mine is the cargo space that communicates directly with the main cockpit.
So he's impressed that it's just like every other hatchback ever made? I fail to see how a hatchback with a cargo area that is accessable from the cockpit is something special.

Only problem I see with it is the weak Mercedes engine. 215hp and 229ft-lbs isn't going to keep up very well with a 350z. The dodge 3.5l isn't as smooth but its 244hp and 250ft-lbs might do a little better or throw a 345hp HEMI in it :D. I'd buy it with a HEMI in it, well if I had $40k to blow on a car.

If they threw the Hemi into this car...DROOL. This damn thing only weighs 3,000 lbs vs around 3,300 for the V6 powered 350Z. Crossfire (even at let's say 3,100 pounds for a Hemi version) + Hemi + 6-speed = 350Z killer :p

the rear end is major suckage but the front is kinda cool. Love those M3-like thingies on the side.

So the Crossfire will be a crappy car of poor quality?

;):p

Did you even READ the article? The car is basically a Mercedes SLK (engine, chassis, suspension, brakes, safety equipment, transmission, interior) with a different body and is built in Germany by Karmann.

It's basically a Mercedes with a different body. I'd place Mercedes above Audi/VW in reliability/quality (minus interiors).

Mercedes are not very good cars, as far as quality goes. I would not call them horribly unreliable, but certainly not what one would expect.

It doesn't look like anything else on the road, IMO. It's an interesting car, but I probably wouldn't buy it over a G35 coupe.
