Hmm, I dont like these type of vehicles because I live in Michigan. And everytime when I am stuck in a traffic jam, there is one bigg ass Excursion/Tahoe/Escallade/Navigator type of a moster right in front of me, blowing the toxic fumes in my face....

I just ordered again. They sent a brochure for the 2002 with no test drive, maybe I'll get lucky this time.
 
I got my 4 that I ordered today. They also included a DVD on the vehicle. Thanks Ford for spending at least 5 bucks in pieces, labor and postage to give me $75 bucks.
 
Got mine today, don't lose hope. I thought I wouldn't get in on the deal. I deserve that GC 😀 , just bought a Mustang and didn't get anything for that. Mom got tons of junk for her Escape :frown:

well... ordered a brochure today... hopefully the coupon is still in it. Also, what do they mean by a 75$ debit card? Is it like a 1 time use debit card or something? I wont have to sign up for a bank account or anything will I?

The card in the brochure shows the card as a Ford MasterCard debit card. I'm assuming that this card is "pre-loaded" for $75. Once you've spent the $75, I'm sure the card could head for the trash. I wouldn't imagine that Ford would require any long-term commitment by opening an account - that would just be nasty! 🙁
 
can someone pm me a dealer code? I'm a starving college student living on campus right now and i really don't have time (work and class) nor transportation to get to a dealership to attempt a test drive. I'm not even sure if they'll let me seeing as i'm only 18? Thanx in advance!

Ok, not only is this stupid, is just wrong. Ford isnt moronic. Well maybe their engineering department. When you imput your info, they calculate closest dealer and print it on the inside of your brochure. If they decide to look up the dealer, do you THINK they'll notice that you arent withinn X miles.

Can the debit card be used on anything or is it only on ford products?
I got my card filled out without driving the car yesterday and was debating on what to get.
 
Got the flyer with the $75 debit card offer inside, off to Ford tomorrow.

Funny thing is, I may actually buy one of these beasts!

 
Well, there you go. If "onestepsahead" actually buys one of these behemoths, and doesn't get a SIGNIFIGANT amount off the price, then ford will break even on all the $75 GC's they'll be sending off to anandtech members 🙂
 
Got my flyer yesterday and took the test drive last night. NICE RIDE! I told the guy that I was only there for the incentive and had no interest in buying, he was real cool with it. That was an easy $75 🙂

If I want to buy something that is over $75 online, how does that work?

There are 2 ford dealerships close to me, they are real dicks at one place, last time I went there I had guys coming to my house afterwards telling me they wanted to take me for some test drives! I'll be going to the other dealership this time.

7/31 - Ordered brochures for my wife (2003) and I (2002 accidentally).
8/20 - I received a 2002 brochure with no test drive cert.
9/3 - My wife received her 2003 brochure with a test drive cert, woohoo!

How are you guys getting more than 1 test drive cert? Are you using same name/address or altering your name slightly?

Weird. I received a brochure a few weeks ago for the Expedition, but no test-drive certificate. Then I received another one this weekend with the certificate. Brochure looks completely different, but included a cd-rom (maybe dvd, haven't checked it out yet). I actually might test drive this puppy since my roommate was comtemplating getting this earlier in the year.

For those wondering, the debit card is much like Visa Buxx. A predetermined amount of credit is placed on the card and it is to be spent like a normal credit card.

FORD - F$%ked on Race Day. 😉
