Um...not to sound cliche, but if you have greivances with Ford, Ford's history, cars, or corporate structure, I suggest you utilize one of the more legal/moral means of achieving change or getting whatever justice you seek - cuz "two wrongs dont make a right." Personally, I'm unaware of any connections between Ford and the Third Reich ~ what I am aware of (and have concrete evidence of) is Ford's history of taking great pains (and incurring serious loss of profits) to make cars more affordable and increase the size of the American work force (if you're interested, search for a court case called Dodge v. Ford for a cool example).

All in all, my problem is more with the people who were forging signatures, calling all over town to get dealership codes, etc., and in effect defrauding the company. Those who requested multiple catalogs, went to multiple dealerships, and collected multiple sigs and codes I really don't mind as much - that's Ford's own fault for not having a cross-referencing database or something to prevent the same address from receiving multiple debit cards. My post was primarily aimed at those who were pursuing illicit means to capitalize on Ford's generosity with this promo. It's people like that who reduce the possibility of similar promos in the future for the rest of us...

But I suppose the Ford bigwigs took all these jerks into consideration before launching the promo, so...I dunno.

I got mine a couple weeks ago. It really is an awesome surprise even though mine says $50.🙁
Hopefully it's really holding $75 😉

Mine said $50 to but when i called to check the account status, it said I have $75. Must have been a typo. My brother got one to and his did say $75. Thanks ford.

The initial set of brochures had $50 gift card offers instead of $75 gift card offers. Mine arrived this way - only for $50 and after checking it on-line, the balance was only $50. This was fine because the post card stated only $50.00. However, others have received a card and the printed material said "$50.00" - but, when they checked their balance on-line, it was in-fact, $75.00. If there's any question about your balance, read the attached documentation that came with your care. There, you will find instructions for viewing your balance of the card on-line.

Still no sign of mine, but I forgot to write down when I mailed it. Anyone have a number to call them to check on status?

This thread did remind me to call Buick to find out where my Borders GC is though. It's been well over a year, and they are still telling me they are trying to fulfill it. LOL.

Once you get the form signed @ the dealership, are you just dropping it in the mail since it is prepaid, or did you send it priority w/ delivery confirmation?

I sent mine in an envelope priority with delivery confirmation. Yes it cost me around $4 and I had to address the envelope but I didn't want them claiming they never rec'd my test drive cert.

Actually, my family sent in 4 of them. None were sent via Priority Mail w/delivery confirmation. All Ecount cards have been received.

I sent my postcard in about a month ago (plain ole' 1st class mail), and received the Ecount card last week. Only one though 😀

I requested the catalog/brochure 3-4 weeks ago and it just came and it does have the $75 gift card offer in it. Says its valid until Feb of next year. Now I just have to go out to a Ford dealership and get it signed!

Can anyone tell me if the deal is still going on if you request a custom brochure? I was going to send this idea off to my family, but as someone stated earlier, I'm not sure if it works with the custom brochure, since they changed the site.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Yes.

It's a cash card. it's like $75 cash. You don't charge anything, you just use up the amount. If the item is more than $75, you'll have to pay the difference with another source, either with cash or a credit card, etc. If you buy something for $50, you have $25 left on the card.

I heard that each time you use this card, you will be charged for some fee. If this is true, how can I buy $75 GC since it will charge some service fee? (hope i'm wrong.😉 )

If you have already received your $75 debit card, have it with you then go to MyECount.com login and click the FAQ link or go here.

I tried to purchase some items that totaled ~$135 at OD--wouldn't accept.Told clerk it was worth $75 and I'd pay the difference. Still no go. Tried it again at BB for a $100 purchase--rejected. Apparently, what you purchase must be less than $75 even if you are going to pay the amount over $75. Also, I had one card sent to my home and one to where I work(they are in different towns). Got rejected on a $30 purchase at Ashford.com because the card I gave them was the one I had sent to work and I gave my home address. So if you've got multiple cards at different addresses be careful.I did re-submit my order using my work address and it went through.

You sure it wasnt 12/31/02? Ill check mine when I get home but I am pretty sure thats what it says.

This deal is definitely still on. I put in my request a week or so ago and got my brochure in the mail yesterday with the test drive coupon.

I'm actually seriously considering getting the TaylorMade putter for my mom. I'm not a golfer, but I do know TaylorMade is a pretty well-known brand. I did a quick search and it seems like their putters sell in the $130 range online, unless this is a cheaper model I didn't see.

Any golfers out there who can tell me if this putter is worth > $75?

EDIT: Oh yeah, offer valid through 03/09/03 on my card.

I used mine for an $85 purchase with no problem. I told the clerk to only charge $75 to the debit card and I wrote a check for the difference. No problem at all.

bah... I'd rather keep my new sports car and old jeep, both of which you feel every single freakin bump in the road, and even the new bumps that haven't formed yet.
