I think I might get one of these bad boys... been mulling it over seeing which one would bring the best profit on fleabay I think I have found one that will profit me $100 but I'm not gonna tell you all untill my shipping # comes in.

I bought the P1 around 6PM yesterday (see above)

Just called today (6:00PM PST) and they said they canceled my order for the Sony. :(

Hope you guys have better luck...

I ordered the P1 this morning via their phone center since their website was so slow. Sounds like I won't be getting mine either - they sure do charge your credit card quickly enough though. Is anyone getting the P1 or was it a misprice?

My order for a Canon S30 was canceled as well. My order was placed around 10:30PM CDT
yesterday.

they just told me it was OOS when i entered my order

and since the P1 was a discontinued model, they can't get more of them, or at least that's what the CSR told me...

I just read on ben's that some dude got his card charged, and then they cancelled his order! Oh, and no, I haven't called Microcenter to verify my order.

You need to call to find out. I haven't heard of anyone getting e-mails of any sort. One of mine was cancelled and one supposedly went through. Haven't received e-mail for either but I do have a confirmation # for my "good" one. it will only be good if I actually receive my camera.

I called yesterday and got Order# from the CSR.
but today I receive cancelation e-mail :|

well, I have to call them again later on.
I hate being like this :|

I just got the same email even though yesterday they said my order would not go through because they were OOS. WTF???

Was your order number really 1500, and it's being fulfilled??? My order numbers were a few hundred before your's(1500) and mine were cancelled even though the CSR assured me I would get my two Sony's. What time did you order on Monday?

Maybe there is no rhyme or reason the the numbers being sequential vs order #'s filled. My order #'s were in the low 1200's. I ordered at 1 pm on Monday.

They charged my card and now I just got an email saying my order was cancelled and my card was not charged. Yeh right - it was charged immediately. The CSR had also told me that P1's were in stock when I ordered.

By now we should all know the drill:

1 Website advertises desirable merchandise at unbelievable low price

2 Website gets bogged down, goes down etc.

3 The items disappear from website when it goes back up.

4 Either nothing is communicated to buyers, or if they call they are told that their item is: a: out of stock, b: price was error

5 Buyers rant

6 Swords of lawsuit rattle

7 We go back to the hunt

I just hope I don't get spammed to death since Microcenter has my information.

And one last thing------------ "Microcenter Is Suck!!" I got a real feeling that in the case of the Fuji and the Sony P1, the prices were errors, intentionally or not I don't know.

I'm in the market for a digital camera and 20% would be great but if you guys are all having problems I guess not.

20% is real... If you see something selling for list or close to list price, you can get 20% off. That is in the ad, and in the B&M as well.

But, their inventory tracking is completely inadeqate, so just because you think you ordered an item doesn't mean that you get it. Anything that looks like a good deal to you must also look like a good deal to other people. If so, the item can very well be sold out and they won't know it for sure. You can order it, but after that you take your chances.

Just got off the phone with a CSR at microcenter. My order for the P1 was cancelled even though my credit card was billed. She said that ran out of stock quickly because a lot of people bought 10 to 20 P1 cameras at a time. Stinks. That was a great deal for anyone that got in on it. If anyone who got more that one want to sell it - let me know. Thanks.

Microcenter is giving everyone the shaft. One minute they say that you're getting it, the next time you call, they say that they're cancelling it...what's up with that?

I thought this is how it goes:

1. Microcenter OFFERS the camera at a price.
2. You ACCEPT that offer.
3. CONSIDERATION is given in the form of a credit card authorization for the charge.

That spells CONTRACT, folks.

Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but you can't JUST BREACH A CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT. However, the biggest defense would be that the consideration is insufficient, seeing that the credit card was not really charged, but just authorized for a charge. However, if my credit card is authorized for a charge, my credit limit is decreased by that amount....but on the other hand, I don't necessarily owe the credit card that amount.
