Well I did say the forest looks great, so either I'm clairvoyant or I did watch the video. There is about as much of a combat "system" here as there is in Unreal Championship, or Halo2, or any fps with a melee attack. Where are the damage numbers? Where is the accuracy? Mitigation? Avoidance? Confirmation that you actually hit your target? 3rd person mode helps in this respect, but that's about it. Morrowind had a huge map I think, and I got tired of flipping it out every 5 seconds. It's like driving to Vegas and taking the wrong turns. Not fun =P

Most of that stuff was in Morrowind, but players found it annoying. If you swing your sword, and it looks like it hits, then why aren't you hitting? I think Bethestda tried to remove the background dice rolls in the fighting so it actually feels more controlled.

Edit: The torrent is the full High Def version at 1.28 gigs.
If you have a decent computer and a good connection get that, it should be awsome. 🙂

Thanks, I'm waiting in line for the torrent.

But please tell me that the torrent isn't the same ~400 xvid re-encode.

HD does not look like HD when re-encoded, I want the 1.2 gig real HD version. 🙂

I wish this was correct, but it isn't.
The torrent is a DVD iso at standard 480i resolution.

From PowerDVD :
Source picture resolution: 720x480 (525/60)

I haven't tried the avi file, but I am guessing that is not 720p either.

Are you behind a router? You have to open up whatever port that uTorrent is using.

A very very noob question. How do I open up a port and how do I figure out what port uTorrent is using? What is a port anyway?

I'll host it for you if you like. My U/L is only about 45k since I'm on cable. So, a 1.2GB ISO is gonna take a while... but if you like I'll PM u my FTP info.

Too bad the PC version doesn't look nearly as good and also brings an SLI'ed 7800GTX system to its knees at 1024x768.

This game will be absolutely unplayable on the PC with anything less.

what about ATI's next gen? not to mention that you'll have to spend plenty of money to enjoy it on xbox360 in its full glory. with the exception of a few genres of games,

mouse/keyboard >>>>>>>> controller

Oh. My. [expletive]. God.

I knew I was gonna get this game the second I heard about it, but still. WOW.

// To the skeptics, I bet it'll run 1600x1200 on an SLI'd GTX system. Bethesda has always been good about optimizing their engines, just like Valve.

I got the non hi def version from Game Trailers. They will most likey get the hi def ones soon so I prolly dont need to dl it.

I guess is meant to use more than 2 cores. This might be the only game where the 840EE might beat a X2.

The Xbox 360 is essentially using ATI's nextgen-nextgen...The generation after the x1800...It has 48 pipes, but they aren't your typical pipes, they are each capable of running as pixel or shader units, or something like that. This is how ATI has said they plan to make the r600 cards.

That, and the system does have three cores. Do you have three cores? An xbox 360 and this game will also cost you significantly less than the top of the line video card, not to even consider the SLI option, and doubling that already tremendous cost.

Somehow I doubt that, seeing as an Athlon 64 can beat a "comparable" P4 with HT.

The port that uTorrent is using is in the uTorrent options. It's probably under Networking or something.

To open up the port in your router, you'll have to log into your router. Google for instructions on your brand of router. Your question is asked a lot. 🙂

sweet quick download🙂 gotta love broadband🙂 whats so hard about file front? its direct download

and nice🙂 gotta wonder how big future game budgets will be. just remember back in the day of mario...a a few pixels of blocky sprites was all the art department had to create. now with more and more detail...you gotta wonder heh
