Why would one lie about this? 😉

I freely admit to know very little about electronic voting, but, a paper trail would seem to be a necessary part of a reliable voting system. Am I wrong?

polls in Ohio.
Links were from October. Were they ever given access? If not, why?

I think the most surprising thing is Kerry's quick and easy bow-out. Out of all the people who are pissed, Kerry has been pretty silent. It's as if he didn't want to win in the first place. Hmmm. Is it possible Kerry is a puppet of the right-wingers?

One thing is for sure, the Democratic party has completely failed the Democrats in this country. Instead of bitching about Bush's failures, maybe the Left should look into their party's failed attempt at stopping him.

Silly liberal, they're just 20 coincidences, that's all. Much like that Global Coincidence that scientists say is warming up the earth...those silly scientists...

Why isn't this on the news? They talk about election problems in Ukraine and Iraq. Why not here at home? I am starting to think the mainstream media are in on the scam.

It's time for a million voter march.

No Justice, No Peace...

I mean seriously, you-all have absolute proof the vote was rigged, shouldn't there be a revolution somewhere now?

You-all need to take to the streets.

You answered your own question with the link you provided:

"The difference, of course, is history. After hundreds of years of rule by Moscow, independence is a cherished thing in Ukraine. After 80 years of communist rule, most Ukrainians well understand the dangers of autocratic government, or that state-controlled media lies. Democracy is not taken for granted.

In America, by contrast, we have no such history, and instead of skepticism about authority our heads are swelled from birth with jingoistic bilge about how perfect American democracy is, how great and infallible our country is, how righteous is our form of government. For all the decades of conservatives bashing big government, we have surprisingly little skepticism, and for all the triumph of our popular will, we have a surprisingly widespread belief that there's nothing ordinary people here can do to change things.

They'll wait for the DNC leaders to start. Otherwise, it won't happen. Where are Kerry and his 10,000 lawyers?

I was stuck in Washington-Dulles the night of the election, so I caught way too much CNN - I started laughing out loud when Colin Powell came on and said something to the effect "The Ukraine's election is invalid because they do not hold elections in a way that the IEC will certify" ... thinking, of course, that our last election met even fewer criteria for IEC certification.

ES&S and Triad machines were, but they WERE mentioned above.

Oh and breaking news.... Green Party Presidential candidate David Cobb has just announced that on December 10, 2004, a Triad technician unwarrantedly tampered with a tabulator in one of the counties that the recount will focus on (the recount is statewide, but this is one county that will be looked at especially).

Triad is the company that makes the vote counters... it is based out of Xenia, OH.

That's a lame ass excuse & you know it.

If I was as convinced as you-all are, I'd be raising so much hell with my elected officials & everyone that'd listen to me, the Secret Service would have a file on me by now.

Come on guys, did you check in your balls at the door?

Raise some hell, don't post about it on the internets....

Our country has a noble tradition of revolution.

A large majority of Ohio used punchcards.

Link to a map of Ohio and voting methods used by county

Triad makes the machines that reads and counts the punchcard ballots.

Correction: It looks like Triad in Ohio's case is the company that runs the central tabulators.

And you can verify they that these machines were misused or tampered with?

Ah, so that's how Bush won Ohio. Of course, we use punch cards here, not electronic voting, but that just shows you how diabolically clever these guys are. They hacked a card puncher!

As much fun as this has been, it really is starting to bore me - like watching the fourth movie in a Three Stooges marathon.
