I came in expecting an AToT member announcing that they were getting locked up for 2 years.

While there is some made up stuff in his story, it was a Detroit prison. Detroit is the shithole of the US. I imagine there is quite a bit of truth, and some made up stuff due to being high.

Lol! They're aren't pay phones in prison. You might get a phone call a year and when you do they dial it and listen the whole time. I'm not 100% sure on all the specifics because I never requested to make a phone call. The only person I cared to speak too visited me every weekend. I do remember people telling me when they got back from making a call.

Most everyone I know that went to prison had access to phones daily. As long as you could afford their outrageous fees and get a phone card you could basically call people whenever you had access to the phone bank.
