2 Police Officers Shot During Ferguson Protest

You would prefer no protests and stuff in the DOJ report just continue.

How could it continue? The police chief resigned... the DOJ is or is going to own the police department. Since when is victory not enough?

All that... and THEN the bullet start flying. It's ridiculous.

What a cesspool of humanity that town is.

I hope the cops fuck them all up for this. Make Ferguson look like the streets of Boston after the marathon bombing: APCs, SWAT teams, dogs, helicopters, everything.

That is the authoritarian spirit. When your authoritarian policy fails, double down on it.

Yes, that will quell the situation. 🙄

Why don't you become a mercenary and head to Nigeria to deal Boko Haram or something

if you like to throw or organize parties...and people at your party routinely break the law...you share responsibility. Protest organizers, like shady bar owners, share responsibility in the crowds actions that are attracted to their organization.

And the police, do they share responsibility when their fellow officers break the law?

wtf? No. Just no.

It's not a stretch, to be honest.

""I think every business owner can control what goes on their business and needs to do that," said Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton."

So, for community organizers, they have a similar level of control over the people they attract as well. If they walk in your ranks, even if you don't invite them, you are more or less responsible in some way.

How many times do we have to hear "They aren't part of the protest" before we figure out, they are constantly bringing in unwanted and uninvited guests?

Then they all should resign, correct?

I think it should be considered. Sure, why not consider it? In the short term and long term, it's an impossible task either way, so in reality it's an impossible decision.

"Cleaning House" has been done before, at least I've heard rumors of it. If you fired every single police officer today, who would you hire?

In the end, we are probably all guilty of something, even if not directly. That's actually a very Christian point of view though, yet we don't see every Christian being barred from the church for having "Sinned". In fact, we support and cherish the renouncing of sins and the support and love of everyone in the community.

No protests no DOJ report. No DOJ report no resignations

Did they give a round or know specifically it was a handgun? There are numerous long arms that shoot pistol rounds.

They didn't specify, only that it was a handgun round, so it could've been from a long arm. Police are tearing into an attic of a house they suspect the shots may have come from.

We don't even know if the people who opened fire were a part of the protest.

No we don't. Heard earlier it was not a protest but a rally which was winding down. Shots may have originated away from the dispersing crowd.

We will see.

I'm just glad this shit hasn't spread to East. St. Louis/Belleville area.

if you think the rift between whites and blacks is bad in North St. Louis, you should see the hill where Belleville meets East. St. Louis. Belleville PD is way more militarized (because it's basically the capital of the eastern metropolitan area of St. Louis) than Ferguson and the racism is much deeper than Ferguson (some may scratch their heads wondering how that is possible).

Just sayin.

It's way worse. And it's honestly a larger powder keg than Ferguson. Way more poor black people and way more racist, rich white people just blocks from each other. If fighting broke out here, you'd certainly see hillbillies firing mortars down into eSTL.
