No, your wrong the extra shaders add like 6% more performance overall so yea that's a 6950 trading blows with a 580.

Not to mention that 90%+ will unlock :-/ .
 
I still think useing 10$ more and getting a 2GB 6950 is a better deal, it has the memory to not be bottlenecked at higher res.

AND you flash it.... boooom its now a 6970.

Then you do a tiny overclock on your now 6970 and be happy with what you got out of a 260$ card.
