2 Abrams tanks vs. 10,000 Chinese cavalrymen: Who would win?

Easy, dig a deep trench and lure the tanks to go across it thus causing it to go down head first and become stuck.

EDIT: To add, the calvarymen could just dig a giant "moat" and put themselves on an "island" and can then attack the tanks at will and run back into the ditch for safety. :evil:

You guys seem to forget, there is a coaxial machine gun mounted beside the main gun INSIDE the tank. The gunner is impervious to small arms fire.

The guys on horseback just follow the tanks staying out of range until they run out of gas, then they wait for the guys inside to either die of thirst or kill them as they come out.

lets assume gas is unlimited. Regardless, enough people/horses will die so that the tank will be stuck. Use the thousands of body as cover to close in and then cover up the entire tank with bodies. Eventually, they will suffocate and die, or the stench or rotting bodies and maggots will make them go insane and they'll catch some sort of airborne infection.

Abrams. Main Anti Infantry Rounds would kill dozens of guys at once. The Secondary Machine gun would take care of the rest.

Even if they couldn't open the hatch, what's to stop 10,000 calvary swarming the tank and just hitting the treads or wheels with the buts of their gun. Or constantly shooting it. With unlimited ammo, I am sure you can break the tank.

You are quite stupid if you think the tank will win. 10,000 is a huge number. Remember when USC lost to Cal and we stormed the field? Yeah. There you go. Even if the tank keeps firing I can guarantee you there will be enough horses that if they were all armed with rope they could tie up the tank and flip it over. I'm pretty sure you only need like 200 horses and you could start dragging the tank. I know a tank is insanely heavy but it's not too hard when you have those numbers.

A gun is nice to have but do you realize it's kinda hard to take down a crowd when you're in the middle.

You guys made some references to Starcraft. You know when people play those UMS maps like HELMS DEEP? You get those stupid LOTR heroes like Legolas. Even if all the Uruk Hai armies can't kill you, when you're surrounded it's a little hard to get out even if you can fight your way out.

10,000 people would be a different story.

The .50cal can be controlled from inside the tank without any exposure.
