I am shocked your system works at all OP, given you might have one of the lowest quality power supplies ever made.

Are you high?

come back when you have 1TB in RAID 5. :p

Before Upgrade 6 x 250GB Maxtors @ 7200RPM 16MB Cache. RAID5

After Upgrade 6 x 400GB Western Digitals @ 7200RPM 16MB Cache. RAID5

For you non-believers.

Yummy.

Last one I promise!
Nice...Dell Small Business servers. FTFW.

Reminds me of my PE1800 with 6-250s in RAID5 ;)

I'm looking to get an 1800 as well... Nice solid box just like my 1600SC ;)

Oh, is it *really* 1TB? List all of the drives, remember, a 200GB drive is really only 186GB and a 300GB is 279GB..

Don't rain on my parade! According to the hard drive companies I have 1TB (200GB + 200GB + 200GB + 100GB + 300GB). :p

You are 24 GB short...

I had 1.2 with 120 gig drives, that thing sucked down power like *insert fat joke here*. I sold most of the drives and now have 1.1 with 300 gig drives. I'll probably stick with that until 500 or perpendicular hard drives are cheap. It used to be dvd's, now thanks to media center, it's all recorded TV. I watch it when I have a chance, and then I'll really watch it.

Speaking of which,

My 1TB Raid 5 had a drive fail (well I believe it happened a while ago but I never paid attention. It works fine with the remaining drives, but now I got to RMA the bad one and pray rebuilding goes fine.

Is it a good idea to have the hard drives laying on the carpet like that? I'd rather not do it!
But still, congrats on your hyperbolic hard drive space, and I hope the drives still work :)

I wouldn't worry as much about the rebuild as I would about another drive failing before you get the other drive to even attempt the rebuild.
