Do they use HighQ or Performance settings in these benchmarks? I've never been clear on the rules.

I'm sure they used High Performance settings and any other tweaks they could find. I'm not sure if Kingpin uses LOD tweaks or not. Regardless, that is an awesome score. Didn't he also score like 12,000 in 06?

No, the use the lowest settings possible, and in some cases DX8 as it can give a higher score as well. Pretty dumb to me, but whatever. I cant see why people get so excited, or spend so much time on 3dmark.

Overclocking is a hobby for them and 3dmark is a tool to see how they match up other hobbyists. Like laptimes in racing.

I'm still not exactly clear what kind of cooling he was using, some homemade contraption I suppose.

I don't care much about the 3dmark score, but the FX-60 running at those speeds is pretty sick if it's sustainable.

.

custom copper pots with ln2. this is not susposed to or intended to be sustainable for long periods of time. this is a "suicide run" and intended to achieve the absolut highest clocks possible
