Believe it or not, but that was shitty pre-rendered FMV polygons and not real-time polygons. The in-game models were horrendous but I always excused it as being a polygonal version of the tiny character sprites in previous FF games. Well, the models in the battle arenas were a bit better.

i got a little welled-up on the first video, but i completely lost it and broke down for a good 15 minutes on that fourth one.

1st softened me pretty hard. I have a 4 month old, couldn't imagine how the guy felt.
2nd, neckbeard and his style distracted the message :/
3rd was neat, funny
4th, ungrateful little teen, what else is new, and insurance?! slightly misty though lol
5th was sad, pets are like kids to some people
Kinda skipped over the 6th and 7th.
I quit at video 8. Onions.

I still feel the first one, as a father is fucking brutal.

yup. I'm not technically a father, but was like a dad to my ex's daughter for 4 years. I love that little girl like she were my own. It hit home whenever he talked about buying her first bike (which I did), walking her to school, etc... I got choked up. The Thai commercial broke me down, though. I couldn't stop crying some like 15 minutes. Whenever he tried begging the doctor to take his blood and when he was writing his daughter a card about how much he loved her... man, but reliving that scene is getting me choked up.

Anyway, yeah...

Kinda messed up...I don't think any of those videos could get one tear, but I know if I see that Futurama episode with the dog waiting for Fry I'll get choked up. Choking up just thinking about it. And one of the videos has a dog sitting by his dead master.
