Last minutes with Oden almost got me. I was in mourning for weeks after putting my dog down. I'm not going to say there's nothing that hurts more than having to put down a pet but damn... it sucks.

I didn't find the Thai one sad at all. Father is born with disability, daughter hates dad because of it, daughter attempts suicide on her birthday. WTF.

EDIT: Wait, the dad died? And they're advertizing life insurance? Did he have the doctors kill him to collect to save the daughter or something?! Double WTF. Worthless daughter.

I felt bad for the dad, not the daughter.

I didn't notice that the dad had died at the end. Maybe instead of life insurance they should be advertising for a law firm that specializes in malpractice.

This one wasn't nearly as sad as the first video.

Im biased. I had a shitty relationship with my dad growing up and only recently fixed it. The Fresh Prince of Bel Air clip with Will Smith and his dad would of gotten me if I hadnt seen it before.

I went through most of them and found i was much closer to tearing up on the animal ones then the others. I've never been close to my own family and have never had a profound love relationship so none of the scenes really pull any specific strings.

The homecoming video got me close again.

In the past the things that have made me tear up have been acts of heroism or what my friend calls, "man tears". Last stands and things like the suicide charge in LOTR make me tear up.

if the first video played any later than it did, i would have caved much sooner. it was the most powerful one for me.

Made it all the way through now that I'm at home with audio. Only ones that came close were ones I've seen before, like the Fresh Prince abandonment and the surprise homecomings. I'm not sure why half of those are even in there. I agree with overst33r that the first video would have been more effective later in the playlist.

I had a totally different reaction to the "Seeing my dog the day I got back from Afghanistan" than most people because I get that reaction from a smaller version of practically the same dog pretty often. :) She is a Pomeranian-Chihuahua of the same color who belongs to my sister but lived with both of us as "our dog" for her first three years before we went our separate ways and my sister took her to live in the US Virgin Islands. I left CA to return to GA. The USVI didn't work out for her and I ended up meeting them at the Atlanta airport a few months later en route to their new home in WV. I got that greeting. That, too, was short-lived. When I came back a couple months later to "rescue" them from being stranded with no transportation and no power after a WV snowstorm, I got that greeting again. When I visit them at my brother's place once a week now, I get that same greeting. Any significant time away beyond work earns that one. :)

i started to tear up on the 1st one, 2nd and 3rd didn't do much, and then the 4th brought more response than the 1st one.
