Hey guys my deal on the 19" KDS with staples went sour!!
Here is the catch!!! $40.00 off of $150.00

$25.00 off of $75.00
$25.00 off of $75.00

Total = $150.00

So lets say you buy an item that is only $150.00 u can use as many coupons as u
want it is how they add up.. like the example above you can get either $40.00 off
or you can get $50.00 dollars off but the most they can come out to is $150.00....:frown:

Ok boys and girls,
I am here to vent my frustration with a certain Staples CSR named Mohammed. I spent about 1/2 hr with this guy and got nothing accomplished. I start by asking for a pricematch with Onvia.com, he puts me on hold to go check the price and comes back to tell me that he can't pricematch because under the staples description, it comes with a 3yr warranty, and the onvia.com one doesn't state it. He wants to add $80 for that. I spend the longest time trying to explain to him that the warranty is a manufacturer warranty, but he says he doesn't see it. I finally get him to admit that he is wrong, but he says that there are much more differences in the items. I tell him its the same damn item, but his reasoning is, it can't be, thats why ours is $524 as opposed to $399 at Onvia.com. He then goes on to say that the staples version of the monitor has anti-glare because it is listed as a feature. He says the Onvia.com model doesn't, so he says I need to add $30 for the anti-glare screen. Again, I try to explain that the anti-glare is a coating on the screen that Viewsonic uses when they make the monitor. His reply "I know what anti-glare is, I wear glasses!" At this point, I was sooo pissed and questioned him why he makes it so damn hard to pricematch. He says he is very meticulous about his work, and that other people were wrong for getting away with it. I asked him to justify why I would have to pay $500+ while others paid under $300, but he said he's doing his job. I was going to work with him and see if he'd budge until he mentioned another difference. This time, he says that the staples monitor comes with a POWER CORD AND VIDEO CABLE! At this point, I went bezerk and was about pull my hair out. I tells him that I am an MCSE, MCP+I, CCA, and A+ Tech, and I know what I'm talking about when it comes to computers. They all come packaged with power cords and video cables, but he still wanted to charge me for them. His supervisor had the same reasoning too, and at one point said, "I'm not even going to argue with you". I told Mohammed, if he were so damn meticulous, then I want a different CSR, and he says that he's going to make notes on my account with what we went thru, so calling any other CSR would do no good. What an ASS! I told him to forget it...and hung up. Called back, got this friendly chick who got my order pricematched and applied 4 coupons in less than 10mins. Total price after shipping is about $307. I know I should have hung up on the first CSR right when he started giving me trouble, but my experience is just here to remind you guys not to even hesitate for one second. If you get an ASS, just hang up, don't waste your time. :disgust:

Just to let everyone, know . . . thew viewsonic perfect flat screens are great. I have a 17"er and its beautiful. My only gripe is that there are two lines on it. This is just part of the technology, a rep told me . . . one line is 1/3 the way down from the top and the other is 1/3 the way up from the bottom. I noticed them at first but I haven't then noticed them for months. Great buy, definitely go for those viewsonic monitors.

The lines are there for any aperture grill monitor. Diamondtron, trinitron, etc.

Has anybody gotten their monitor yet? Has anybody checked their credit card statement to see if it worked?

ppl are talking about this deal, how to talked to csr into taking more than 1 $ off coupon, but has anyone actually received the item? maybe their manager or machine catches the error and cancel it already w/out notifying everyone.

a more "legit" deal will be at amazon.
nec fe950 is finally back on stock.
w/ free shipping and 50 off 200, it's only 366.
if you do a search on this model, there is actually a 50 rebate from nec as well.
so it brings the total to about 316, just in case someone is interested...

I am new on these forums, and I was wondering how you do the pricematch thing on the staples.com web site. The price listed is $524.49
Please e-mail me at jdyee@ucdavis.edu

Thank you

RossMAN -

For option #2, you say to give them your staples order #. Is this the item or stock #? Or are you placing an order via the web and then calling the CSR to have them pricematch the order you placed on thier web site? Also, do you just give them the codes for the coupon(s) over the phone? Thanks for your help.

just call up the staples csr and tell them the sku at the staples site...
if you pricematch tell them where and the sku for that site.
they'll look it up...verify it...tell you they can after about 2-3 minutes on hold.
than you tell them you have some coupons you would like to use.
give them the coupon # and they total it up...

i saw that but it didn't say it was a order hotline. It was listed under customer service so I thought that was their service line.

Got mine today! $278 after rebate. It kicks A$$. Set the contrast down to around 70 and lift the brightness up to about 75 and the text will sharpen right up. Colors are phenom! Can't believe this deal. I also got the panosonic dvd30 for $128. All I can say is thanks to the many people who post these deals here, You guys rock! I find myself searchin for deals instead of quakin. this is addicting.

Got mine today too! Although I'm kind of hesitant on opening it. Still no sign of a charge by staples on my CC. I hope they're not trying to jack the price up, and then charge me full price. Should be $307 - $50 rebate. I think I might hold off opening it until a charge shows up on my CC. Can't wait to pop it on my desk next to my PS790 on Matrox G400 Dualhead!
