Yes, it does, and it's good enough for gaming.🙂
The brightness is a concern. Way under the standard for a 19" LCD. >>
I think you have Contrast ratio confused with Brightness. This LCD has 500:1 contrast ratio. By comparison, the SyncMaster 171Mp which is one of the brighter LCDs you'll see at Best Buy and Compusa has 400:1.
Both the SyncMaster 171Mp and this LCD have 250 cd/m^2. Which for anyone who has looked at the SyncMaster 171Mp, will know is plenty bright. It stands out in the row of LCDs as you walk by it's so bright.
The question really is how accurate their measurements are. It seems lots of the new 19" LCDs are coming with 500:1 Contract, 15 rise, 10 ms fall and 250cd/m^2 brightness. Meaning they all are probably using the same LCD part. Wonder who is making it. >>
Yeah, I guess 250 is the standard brightness for an 18/19" LCD. I guess I was just thinking of the highend ones, like Solarism.😉
As for contrast, 400 and 500 is typical.
