Take a very fine tip marker and dot-out the bright dead pixel. It won't completely get rid of it, but will stop it from glearing at you.

heh that wont help anymore than the dead pixel when playing a game or something will it? 😛 itll just be a black dot rather than a green one 😀

got mine...has some sort of screw loose in the bottom or something...its rattling around..do you think they would exchange it for a new one?

Seems like a great deall... but not a lot of talk on this and not alot of reviews with regards to picture compared to others... anyone have any info on it?

damn it...newegg wont RMA monitors...and I have a bad feeling about the manufacturer....

Got mine yesterday. Display was nice and bright. But I first had one dead pixel, and then two more showed up. I really don't even notice them 90% of the time, but hopefully more don't show up.
For the price I still think its a decent deal.

Can I do gaming with this?

My current CRT only allows 85Hz.

i play day of defeat, and its kinda dark for that game... but ghosting is very minimal.

for other RTS's might work better, as for now only one type of game is installed on my machine.

Well, after a couple days of use the pixels that were dead before are now gone. I rubbed two out and the third just disappeared on its own. I've been playing Half-Life 2 and Natural Selection and have not noticed any ghosting compared to my old Gateway CRT.

Anyone know what I'm suppose to mail in the rebate with in order to qualify for it? Is the invoice good enough?

Just got mine, no dead pixels but the colors do suck, FWIW I haven't really tried adjusting anything yet though. If it doesn't get better this may go back

I'd like to know too. I just read the fine print and it says, "A copy of the original sales receipt from TigerDirect.com. NOTE: Other documents such as order acknowledgements, Packing Slips and purchase order copies will not be accepted."

UMMM......All I ever get from TigerDirect is a packing slip. So how the hell am I suppose to get an actual sale receipt.

I think you have to call and ask TigerDirect to send/fax you a receipt. That was how it was in the past when TD was being a weasal. Maybe they have changed?

Anymore feedbacks on this monitor?

What does tigerdirect.com have to do with this deal? I'm a little confused there.

TD offered the monitor when Newegg did not have it in stock. With the MIR expiring today, you can look elsewhere unless they extend the offer, but I am VERY pleased with mine.

My only change was to set the color from 9300 to 6500 which noticeably improved the color balance. Great deal, no dead pixels, no ghosting.

I got it, I didn't order it from newegg I got it from TD. They had a spot on their website to email me an Invoice.
I still don't understand why I couldn't use the packing slip, it says the same dam info.

Oh well, so far I've been pretty happy with mine too. I had the also do the same thing as WT said, change the color from 9300 to 6500 and it looked much better.

Does anyone have a copy of the Rebate Form for June. Newegg has updated the rebate form and it contains July Dates . I can not find the form with the June dates on the website.
Thanks

Newegg now has a $10 IR to drop the price to $252
