I've got mine and I must say that I'm impressed with the viewing angles and the overall quality of the moniter. However, I'm a little dissapointed in the color but then again, I haven't adjusted anything and I need help with calibrating it...

i'll have mine in 3-4hrs... my current lcd is planar px17..... dont know exactly model number

but i'll see how it compares... ddoes anyone know how to tell if its 16.7mil? instead of 16.2

EDIT- got the LCD, but there is a EFFFIN dead pixel right in the middle -_-

annoying when i'm gaming and my crosshair is right by there

onza, I assume you haven't tried to massage the dead pixel out on yours ?? Rather than have me offer how to, google for it and see if that doesn't help. My panel is flawless, but I haven't picked up DisplayMate yet to see what color depth the panel actually is. I'm still toying with the color saturation, and playing a lil Wolfenstein last night resulted in a much darker image than my CRT. I adjusted that ingame, but the LCD doesn't give you a truly black color onscreen, as it appears a very dark gray.

No ghosting at all, running at 1280x1024 with a 6800NU/AMD64 3000 rig. I do love this panel, and consider it a good prurchase (after rebate of course) and so far no one has offered up any negative comments other than the total confusion on the 6 or 8 bit panel status.

Bought mine yesterday, should arrive on Tuesday...hopefully there'll be no dead pixels anywhere

Also TigerDirect has the same deal...except their retail is 319.99 and FujiPlus is offering $70 rebate for buying from TigerDirect...shipping is $19, so Newegg's got the better deal.

Out of curiosity, what would a 6bit panel show up as? Wouldn't it show up as the same because of the dithering?

My review after 7 days with this monitor...using only the DVI connection.

 Better anti-glare than most other LCD I've used.
 Fast 2/10ms response - 12ms total (rising/falling). Real world results has no ghosting.
 Stand (base) is metal and tilts nice. Tilts up more than most other LCD's.
 DVI or analog connector easily secures without issue or blockage.
 Mine had zero dead pixels.
 Comes with DVI, VGA & 1/8" stereo cable
 Power LED light is intergrated into the ON/OFF button (nice touch).

 Uses external power supply box.
 Contrast is higher then I like, thus less detail.
 Not as bright as Acer or other known to be "bright" LCD's (maybe .3 or .4 gamma diff) 🙁

Bottom line:
If you like how things look with more contrast and find the other "bright" LCD monitors too bright for you, this is a GREAT monitor. For my needs, I need an LCD that offers more detail when viewing/editing photos. Before I sell this LCD I'm going to create a custom ICC profile.

I give it a 7 out of 10 (based on LCD priced under $500)

Can someone post how their monitor is calibrated? I'm still having tough time getting the colors to come out right...

I don't get this one. A higher contrast ratio means a better image, with more detail. Can you explain what you mean? Also, how's the uniformity?

I would jump all over this if LCD's weren't constantly getting cheaper.

This looks like a really sweet monitor and an even sweeter deal.

I wasn't talking about contrast ratio. Don't confuse this monitors physical 600:1 contrast ratio to the normal definition of contrast.

More contrast gives more vibrant color at the expense of detail in lighter color or shades.

The screen is VERY uniform with no pattern when tested against CYMK and grid patterns at full screen.

FWIW: I've already re-sold this monitor.

Got mine today....simply amazing. it is so crisp and sharp its just wow....NO ghosting on any game i tried...and they look so much better than on CRT. One lousy dead pixel kinda upset me but for that price its ok. I say go for it...its a great product!

anyone else who got this monitor. What contrast/brightness/gamma settings are you using? Mine keeps looking funny, and I know i need to adjust it somehow (i know how...im not sure which exactly to adjust)
