That's not a subwoofer. That's an infrawoofer!

?? Correct me please? I'm definitely willing to learn.
Where are the measurements?Subjectively its better than the Velodyne DD-18, objectively it is better as well
Why not?But for sound quality, pro sound will not be better on a general scale (the typical stuff you can get for pro sound).

TC Sounds makes a motor that can do it. The LMT. Not very efficient, though. Adire Audio's XBL^2 technology can and has been scaled up past that high. See the Parthenon.

The Pro sound i have experience with is the less expensive ones where spl at 40+ hz is the goal, rather than low distortion 20hz bass. Two totally different markets for sure (home vs. pro) and I did list one company that is a great example of Pro sound that is more than quality enough for home applications (Danley).

Really, it sounds like you're not talking specifically about bass whatsoever. And, good pro drivers tend to have much less distortion compared to "hi-fi" or car audio drivers, especially as you increase SPL. Nothing wrong with high SPL; if you want realism, you have to recreate the live SPLs anyway. But for sound quality, pro sound will not be better on a general scale (the typical stuff you can get for pro sound).

Ever see that video of the crab that gets sucked into the leaking pipe? That's the effect I want through an air grille.
