Hi all, I am sorry but this race will be the first in 17 years which I will not be able to participate in, so don't count me in. If the situation changes I'll maybe join ... later or during the race. Just now the electric power i close to 85cents - 95 cents/KWh and my computers have been "off" for almost a whole year ... so they will need some service.
Have a really good race, and a very good Holiday Season!

Yikes! :(
Hmm, I should check how much mine is, I know it's gone up a lot here!....

[edit] Wow! Your rates are crazy high! Mine is currently 34.23p/kwh, which in itself is just over double what it was 2 yrs ago! (and a ~43p/day standing charge which is also slightly more than double what it was 2 yrs ago!). Which is why I've had my PC off more this year than normal (as well as not wanting to cook my Gerbils in the warmer months! lol).

Although this time of the year, running 1 or 2 PCs (in the afternoon) on my days off means I don't have to turn on the gas central heating (at least when it stays a little over freezing), gas is now 10.46p/kwh which is over 3x what it was 2yrs ago!!

I hope you have a happy christmas and new years anyway!

I'm guessing you are in Europe? Man that would hurt on the 1000+ kWh useage months. Almost makes me feel bad for putting up solar when my rates are $0.11/kWh

Do we have team names and participants yet ? Or too early ? I vote for last years team names, but an open to new ones.

Last year's captains and team names are fine with me. What do you think?

@Pokey is the captain of the Moonshot Gang team
@Markfw is the captain of Mark's Marauders team

I'm hoping for more participants before I choose racers for each team.

Here's the tentative teams. I'm still hoping for more participants. Comments?

EDIT: I missed @IEC as a participant.

Here's the revised table.

Eggcellent. Now tell the weather to stay sunny and cool all month long so I can run all cards full blast
Cool, yes, but quite often sunny means higher temps... I had to shut 3 boxes down from folding, as it got too hot in the house, even with all the windows open, and 50F temps outside !

Not much to say until this thing starts and we see where we stand. I'm still tinkering with my rigs to get more out of what I have. Hopefully we can keep @Markfw and the Marauders in sight.

Always good to see new faces on the teams. Welcome.

I'm trying to get this running on a old spark 10.... Most of my old phones don't run boinc anymore.... I think I have it running now on my just starting to get old Note 3. So you are now all in trouble again! Nevermind... Won't start any Linux that I can find in 32bit and too little ram. Or maybe it just takes too long... My buddy and I are bummed as his old box may not even start anymore... I have a few old puters that I need to see if they start also. Like an old athlon 1200... And others much older... Going through old junk with friends. Kind of sad...
