16ms typ 19" lcd(found)

Does anyone speak this language Text? It list both the 19" and 20" models at 16ms on this site however on the U.S. site only the 20" model appears and list the response time as 25ms max(not typical). Could this be the one I've been waiting for?
 
I am familiar with LG. I can't seem to link to the product page however. Here are the specs as listed.

Good find. We have to get Kubicki to confirm this. LG has said that they would introduce a 12ms monitor this summer.

Edit: Just browsed around and most shops lists the LG 2010P as 24-30ms.
 
I rang LG in Sweden and asked about both these new 19in/20in models - this is the gist of what he said.

19in.

This is totally new panel for LG. They've not had a 19in before. Strickly speaking it shouldn't be up on the website yet because it's not due to be launced until the autumn. It's a one off that's been specially ordered for a important customer. It is 16ms. The viewing angles of 176/176 are very high for a TFT panel.

20in.

This is available now, even in the UK - see the link below. 16ms too but the viewing angles not as good. Availability is 1 - 2 days from this supplier.

Prices:

Difficult to compare prices in Sweden to elsewhere but he says they should be comparable to current 19in/20in models. This Swedish supplier (ww.dustin.se) lists the 20in as costing 11,795.00Kr - about £900 or $1500 ex local taxes.

Nothing about the 19in 16ms model on the UK site though.

I tried calling LG in the UK to see what they had to say about it but couldn't get through to anyone. I'll try again later.

Edit: Forgot to mention - the 1 - 2 days availability is for the Swedish supplier. Don't know about the UK or anywhere else.
 
The 30" model is selling for $3000 US overseas and is listed as available on the us website but I can't find any vendors who have them. Also on the US site the response time is listed as 22ms (12 rise,12 fall) instead of the swedish 12ms typical.
 
Still a 22ms response isn't that shabby on a monitor this size. The only other >19" with a sub 25ms response is the Sharp T19d1h with 20ms (700:1 contrast and 300nit brightness).
At $800 dollars I am considering buying it if I can only find somewhere to see it in person.
 
Don't believe anything you read fredtam.

I am having a hard time believing this LG stuff. It was already established at page 74 in the gigantic ars thread, that the panel in the 20" has a response time of 25. Here and here (warning: pdf). And the 19" doesn't even show up at those pages. But kudos to LG, if they have indeed pulled it off.
 
I have participated in that thread and I agree. The only thing that I would add is that the response times are listed as 25ms max while other models of the same company (other companies also) are listed as 25ms typical. I wonder if "typical" is the reason some users experience severe ghosting while others see very liitle. Is "typical" a production term meaning that the majority of the monitors produced will perform to that spec or is it a term meaning aresponse time could vary from 15ms to 35ms while averaging 25ms. If either is true putting a cap on a response time would be a good thing and may be an interim solution to advertising a 16ms panel which cannot be guaranteed to work at that spec.

Before you assume I can't read at all I would like to say that I do know what a typical response time is and my previous post was simply to generate thought on the matter.
If you will notice in the pdf you linked to list the "max" response time as 50ms which is "typical" for 25ms panels. My whole point is that the "max" response time has been capped at 25ms which is not "typical" of other flat panels.

Where can you see that is has been capped at 25ms? I can't find it anywhere.

It would be great though, if LG have done it. But I must say, that until this has been proven, I am highly sceptical.

Anyway, my point was not to blindly trust what companies tell you about their products. This goes for any companies, not just the companies in this business.

Edit: Just seen the 25ms max at the LG US site, but if you view the pdf file, it says 25ms typ.
