I'm not sure if it's illegal or not, but some similar things are illegal. It's not legal for someone in military uniform to sell anything.

There's a difference between a company logo with the US flag in it and a flag with a business card stapled to the pole. There's a difference between companies flying the flag on their property and what your wife did.

there is a guy in our neighborhood that goes around every year and puts up American Flags in everybody's yards and I love it.. however, he does it solely out of patriotism or love of country, there is no hidden agenda...
i wouldnt even know it was him if i didnt see him do it and so i know that he's just doing it to for good reasons...

The United States Government (the one that makes the laws) does see a problem with it.

Your wife can either suck it up or complain in court, in which case she will definitely lose since she's breaking the law. Or the neighbor can complain in court, in which case he will definitely win. I can see your point though...maybe it's something we should reconsider.

BTW-She will still do the monthly newletters...just like all the other agents who market the area. Might have to rethink the flags though.
