Dothans been out over a year.. dems could speculate better than me, but they should have gone there, xfered production there. I was reading an article over at Ars a few months back where hannibal was incensed and shocked they did'nt go that route but netburst instead.

When people start to try to overclock the 8xx's to get near the stock performance of the X2's the heat they generate might be hot enough to cause Nuclear Fusion!!!! p-m draw at 3ghz is till quite low, thank you very much. k8 at 3ghz, even with nextgen process, will still be a little too high for quad core (IMHO), and that is why im interested in their next move. i want cheap quadcores on market as much as anyone else dammit.
From what I read it's quad core (k10) will use hypertransport II (this was from an inquirer article saying it was 75% better I'll try and link you). I cant think of anything that has been mentioned, its pretty quiet.

We all get it, P4 Dual cores are absolute *&^%. They have no redeeming qualities except being cheap *&^%. Pinto's were pretty cheap too. That doesn't mean anyone should have bought one.
Pentium D are very harmfull for the enviroment. They definitvely won't have the energy star from EPA.
I see the biggest AMD fanboy on the boards (Zebo) is back at it again. LOL

You know what maybe we should'nt talk about processor performance anymore. Lets move beyond that, into the enlightend realm of macdom and cite "uniqueness" "experiances" "elegance" and other qualitative measurments. Everyone feels better that way.
