oh yeah my brother has a 95 TSI FWD right now with cat back, intake, bov, MBC and automatic tranny that would still run circles around the cars in the video. Even without LSD.

You're still trying to argue that a video of bunch of fwd compacts with cone intakes is a good way to show off perofmance. Please step back and think about what you're saying.

96 Eagle talon TSI awd,5 speed, 3in catback, 14b turbo @ 18psi using dual stage electronic boost controller, first get blow off valve, K&N fipk, starion FMIC. That thing would fly... 18psi should put me near 280hp
edit:
forgot act 2600 clutch
And you never pushed it on the street, right? The only time you tried to see how fast it was was on a track right?
I definitely didn't make videos showing off my somewhat fast car either![]()
yeah, and I've never redllined my car on the street nor tried to beat someone off the line to cut in front of them.Originally posted by: halik

You should, I'm sure that there's a lot of us that would enjoy seeing it and hearing it.I definitely didn't make videos showing off my somewhat fast car either![]()
Yeah, I know. But you can't buy those cars anymore, and I wouldn't want to buy that car secondhand since I know that it's been abused.oh yeah my brother has a 95 TSI FWD right now with cat back, intake, bov, MBC and automatic tranny that would still run circles around the cars in the video. Which is EXACTLY why it's relevant. Unlike you, most of us aren't pro drivers, so these vids are a good indication of what most of us would drive like.Originally posted by: fs5
Um.. it's a STREET RACE. That means this guys are amateurs and it doesn't make a flying fvck if one has an intake or not. It boils down to the drivers. The video is just to show off how "cool" these guys are racing on the street.

I like my car, if I can't get them in a straightaway, i can get em in a turn. Most people around here are too chicken to go fast in turns. Hell this morning it was pouring rain and I took a left turn that is rated at 10mph at 30mph when I entered and was at 35 when I exited. I take this turn the same way every single day. The only difference on this mornings run was the fact that I slid out of the line trying avoid on coming traffic.![]()

I wonder if it's anything like my old friend's '84 Prelude.
I live by RRE and go there pretty often. Your car would be one on the "weak" side. I've been in lots of stupid fast cars there.Originally posted by: halik
check www.dsmtuners.com ... my car was nothing outta the ordinary. There are scores of people with 12 sec dsms and better...Originally posted by: TuffGuy

Plus making street racing videos is kinda pointless unless you have a beast of a car. Slow cars racing = boring.

You shouldn't really be ripping FWD compacts. Your car is based on one. Stock, the GSX does what, 6.7s in the 0-60mph? And the GST is slightly slower?
The slow ass Ralliart's been tested at 6.8s by Motor Trend.

Both are pretty bad. The music was so loud you can't even hear the cars. That's probably what they want though.Originally posted by: scorpmatt

which is worse, the music, or sound of their exhausts?
Yes, but they've all been so ridiculously modded that they're completely different cars, so they would serve no practical purpose.Originally posted by: halik
Hell I've seen a mustang beat an R1 and civic beat an M3 and it doesn't tell me that mustangs are better than R1s or the same for the honda/bmw.

I would love to see a vid of a stock GST/GSX vs a 3000GT (non-SLow), a stock 3000GT vs a stock Supra, etc.
I would learn a lot more about he cars that way.
And the engine. And the brakes. And the suspension.Originally posted by: scorpmatt
I think the only the fwd talons and the awd talons have in common the body style. Those awd turbos are sweet cars. and I do mean all of the awd turbo cars

Do you realize what you just said? The 3000GT came in two flavors, the VR-4 and the SLow.Originally posted by: scorpmatt
the 3000gt wouldn't stand up against the supra, the vr4 might.Originally posted by: TuffGuy
