sure there is a risk with any oc but its minimal provided you dont go to far and keep everything cool
usage by many users has proven that 1.65v isnt to far when overclocking ram on sandy\ivy
i ran my ram at 1.9v with a 2600k for a short test recently to try get past 2133 8-10-10 and the cpu still lives i wouldnt like to run that v for long though
