Well, twisted is better than sprained right? When you're hiking 15 miles per day, a small injury can really take a toll :(

I had a hangnail over the weekend, I decided to suck it up and come into work today. I chose not to post about it.

She took the day off today to go to the doctors (which down there is the hospital at this point). Hoping for the best and hoping this'll only be a few day thing and she can get started again!

Anyway, just keep her in everyone's thoughts! Thanks!

i know you love her so you are concerned. she'll be alright, up and going again in no time.

Sorry to heat that she hurt herself, but she shouldn't give up hiking just because of a mishap.

I have very weak ankle (due to an accident in sport) and twisted it a couple time a year for the last 25+ years, and it hasn't stop me from playing sports nor hiking.

It is might be wise to look into good fitting hiking boots with ankle support for the next try.

Wait... Girlfriend with an account on AT that suffers an injury. Why does this sound like it's shaping up to be something familiar...

She won't give up unless she HAS to. That's the kind of girl she is :) But she has 2000+ miles left to go! So we'll see what happens.

Unless it's a compound fracture and you have pics, i dont see how this news is interesting.

Was she climbing something or just walking up a sloped dirt hill?
