I had a hangnail over the weekend, I decided to suck it up and come into work today. I chose not to post about it.

My girlfriend (dream2hike on these forums) is thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail. She started two weeks ago, and she hurt herself a few days ago - seems to have really swelled up her ankle. She took the day off today to go to the doctors (which down there is the hospital at this point). Hoping for the best and hoping this'll only be a few day thing and she can get started again!
Anyway, just keep her in everyone's thoughts! Thanks!

Sorry to heat that she hurt herself, but she shouldn't give up hiking just because of a mishap.
I have very weak ankle (due to an accident in sport) and twisted it a couple time a year for the last 25+ years, and it has stop me from playing sports nor hiking.
It is might be wise to look into good fitting hiking boots with ankle support for the next try.

She won't give up unless she HAS to. That's the kind of girl she isBut she has 2000+ miles left to go! So we'll see what happens.
